Pretty perfect
I smell jasmine sambac and almond in this perfume, which is a great combination. The sillage is very good, as is the longevity. It’s not particularly unique, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. I wish I could detect the sesame and other scent notes. Together they work, but it’s truly the jasmine sambac that is the leader of this fragrance.
Price point moderate. Cute bottle!

Perfect Intense
*4/1/26 EDIT
*

I've waffled back and forth on this one since owning it. Disregarding the specific notes, this is ultimately a very thick and nectar-like fragrance that actually feels better in the heat. I tried wearing it during the winter, thinking the cold weather would be nice, but it made me nauseous. Fast-forward a few months later during a California heatwave, and it just absolutely *bloomed*. It felt like the heat helped lift and "stir up" the fragrance into the air, making it much more enjoyable. Bottom line is that I do like it, but only in specific circumstances.

TBH I quite like the entire Perfect collection. Even before getting to the scent, I thought the bottles and ad campaign were really charming. Very now, very playful, and Gen Z.

Unlike its campaign imagery though, Perfect Intense smelled like a HotGirl™ at first spray. (In my mind, most jasmine scents have that HotGirl™ energy. If Madison Beer and Sabrina Carpenter aren't wearing vanillas, then I know they're wearing some type of jasmine!) There aren't any fruity notes listed, but the jasmine does seem to take on a sweet, warm, and fruity feel. It's not sharp, but I will admit that it *is* strong. And it does smell like a commercial, "Macy's fragrance department" sort of scent. With that said, I kept coming back to it. I don't know if it's the almond or what, but it surprised me how much I liked it.

Once it airs out for a bit, you can get a sense of the almond. I'm a bit of an almond-hater, especially when they smell like almond extract (sharp and confectionary), but I l.o.v.e. this one. Here, the almond is nuttier and "fattier", so I can see where people are getting the popcorn accord. Parfumo even lists sesame as a supplementary note. For me, this pairing of nutty almond and thick jasmine is so unexpected. Honestly I sat here for way too long trying to tease apart the scent in my mind, and even still, I'm not sure if I'm making any sense.

The bottom line though is that I like it. I think... it's just a really nice take on your usual sweet jasmine and I'd recommend it to anyone who's sniffing around for something new even if those notes might not be your go-to.

And no, I don't get any banana at all~

So there's this issue with linear florals,
at least to me, where they can have a delightful smell - like this one, that I really enjoy - but by the second hour the sameness is starting to feel a little much, and by the fourth hour your stomach is starting to feel a little grumbly, and then when it's still holding on in six-ten hours and covering the smell of any food or drink then you're really nauseous and the headache is a fact.

Not quite the same as the typical headache-inducing scents that are just too much in general, this one is a wonderful one for a little while and I for once wish a perfume had a bit LESS of a performance, because I would wear this if I didn't feel like I could taste it on everything when I do.

Perfect Intense - A Hug in a Bottle
This is the only Marc Jacobs fragrance I've loved enough to purchase, so much so that I went and got myself a big ol' 100ml bottle late in 2025. While I find a lot of MJ's fragrances to be light and generic with their fruity-floral combinations that rarely seem to differ from one another, Perfect Intense really stands out from the rest of the Perfect line and the endless Daisy flankers.

While this is primarily a floral fragrance, there's something about the opening that almost feels like a savory gourmand. The roasted almond and toasted sesame play extremely well with one another; together, they almost remind me of my favorite sesame seed bagels. Narcissus (daffodil) is a floral note I haven't encountered outside of this perfume yet, but I adore the creamy, sunny essence it provides, and it blends smoothly with the cozy cashmeran and sandalwood base. I don't get too much of the pink pepper or pamplezest, just a little to accentuate the narcissus. Longevity is still on the lighter end, as is the case with all the Marc Jacobs fragrances in my experience, but I can get at least 4 hours, sometimes up to 6 if I ensure to moisturize well before applying or apply some Nemat Amber oil first (which makes for an even more comforting layering combination, 10/10 recommend giving it a try). Projection is also on the softer side, not really leaving one's personal bubble. This is perfect for both spring and autumn, when the weather and temperatures are transitioning.

As for how it makes me feel, wearing Perfect Intense is like talking a leisurely walk on a brisk, breezy day where the sun is passing between fluffy clouds. The air is chilly, but the light is warm. You're wearing your favorite sweater and, at most, a light jacket. Spraying this on is like receiving a warm hug. It's what the pale yellow feels like, and not just because of the bottle's color. It's not a scent I reach for every day or even every month, but when I do pull it back out again it feels like meeting a friend for an overdue catch-up complete with warm drinks.

Perfect Intense is, in my opinion, the most unique and lovely fragrance Marc Jacobs has put out in recent years, and I hope they'll keep it around for a good long while.

fun and playful
This is a lovely, subtle scent. I'm really getting the cashmere, even after dry-down. I'm guessing the sandalwood and almond keep that locked in. And the narcissus and jasmine really keep it bright and fresh but totally sexy. The pink pepper is nice and spicy. I think it gives me a teeeenist bit of a headache but I still recommend this fragrance, especially for parties and general evening wear. So fun!

Sweet and smells like “classic” white florals without smelling grandma-y.

I'm a bit meh with floral scents but this one is delightful. Those almonds and wood come through beautifully to lift the flowers.

Obsessed with the cap. I don’t wear florals but this one, love it, though I don’t wear it as much anymore.

Almost savory thanks to the combo of roasted almond and toasted sesame. This feels like a warm hug, or if the color pale yellow had a scent.
