This fragrance is so strong! I really like it, the delicious aroma of patchouli. THE Patchouli. As a king. I am lucky to have one of the first bottles, so ingredients are strong and natural. This interpretation of patchouly is literally magical, perfect for winter. Warm, deep, like a towel, but not sweet. So different from classical and dusty Patchouli Eau de Toilette and iconic balanced Patchouly . It remains with you for long hours but is not disturbing the others. It’s simply unique, must-have for all patchouli lovers.

Yes, even though the cornucopia of beautiful, high-quality patchouli fragrances in my collection is now quite full, this exquisite Mazzolari impresses beyond measure.

In my opinion, this is due to two things: 1.) The top quality of the perfume oils and 2.) The refined reduction with only 4-5 carefully harmonized aromas.

Without a doubt, the fresh, slightly caramel-like, somewhat woody patchouli is the boss in the ring, but Mazzolari skillfully weaves in gently sweet honey and slightly mineral-cool amber around it.

The Italian appears almost sensually warm in this arrangement, resembling sunlit fields in late summer, a bit of dry soil, glowing golden in the slowly fading sunshine of September.

While Givenchy's "Gentleman" was still my reference for patchouli 2-3 years ago, which I was often critically told was so ruined in its reformulated version, I must clearly note that this Mazzolari is far more valuable, rounded, elegant, and refined than that French one.

Essentially, it feels like a wonderful construction kit of a fundamentally patchouli-rich scent that has absorbed elements of the wonderful Tauer fragrance "Au Coeur de Désert" and has blended beautifully. A reason for joy.
