Mia Sofia
Honeyed white florals is a common theme. Sofia is not unique in that sense. What makes her particularly beautiful in my eyes is the way she makes an appearance. She comes up with a grande dramatic entrance, only to proceed the rest of the day in a most controlled manner. Like nothing ever happened. I just love that.

From beginning to end, the orange blossom is the dominant note, with a honeyed woody base. More honey than woods, really. After the initial appearance, jasmine only shows up now and then. A simple formula, done exceptionally well.

Lady Sofia
I need to learn to lower my expectations. My enthusiasm suffers greatly because of it. I tested the fragrance with too much bias. It's a shame really, the scent deserves more enthusiasm. It also deserves the name Sofia.

Sofia is, among other things, the civil name of Sophia Loren. She is tall, loud, and damn beautiful. It fits.

The fragrance spreads out immediately and demands attention. There are many opulent flowers spoiled under the Italian sun and soaked in honey. Heavy, sweet, and sensual. It hardly gets more feminine.

Sofia reminds me a bit of Lady Million. I mean this in a positive sense. Whether Sofia is the more noble variant is my subjective perception. However, both fragrances definitely have the same volume.

The second day of the rest with Sofia.
She has hit like a bomb. I know exactly she will polarize (code word: white flowers), but I confess, I am completely under her spell already. Just the day before yesterday, I swore to my friend that I wouldn't buy any more fragrances or offer any shares, but what can I say, then she came, then came Sofia.

My goodness, this jasmine! Right after spraying, there's a slightly citrusy start, then I smell the most delicate orange blossom and the most magnificent, proudest jasmine. At this stage, the jasmine indeed has an animalistic quality (yes, some might say: carrion-like), but I like that, I am one who enjoys it. After just a few minutes, the rose honey joins in, what a mundane word for this enchanting pairing! Roses, the most beautiful roses, flow around the white flowers in a golden-red embrace and invite to a highly erotic dance, which is just the prelude to a passionate development! Oh, you jasmine, so wonderfully luxurious, so magnificent, so extravagant and lustful you come, kissed by an opulent, lush rose. The honey sweetness is delicately dosed, yet it should not have been missing; it harmonizes with the subtly citrusy notes and makes jasmine and rose more approachable and wearable. Patchouli hovers in the air, the ground on which rose and jasmine love is woody, but they almost completely cover it with their splendor; it merely supports them. I want to lie down in this feast, dive in, bathe in it - and yet I remain just a voyeur.

And this is exactly where my (small, very personal) problem lies: I don't think I can wear something like this. I've never been so hurried to consider the occasion and clothing for a fragrance. When does one wear this? And above all: What does one wear with it? Sofia needs it, she demands it, the grand entrance or a wearer who makes every day a grand entrance. I am left puzzled and can’t help but keep smelling only Sofia.

Sillage: Medium to strong, depending on the dosage. Those looking for a delicate floral water would not be well served here.

Longevity: Good. 8 hours easily, on hair and clothing significantly longer.

Occasion: The grand entrance! This is not an everyday fragrance, not a fragrance for work. Sofia needs the theater, the opera, needs fine clothing, and can only truly shine when the “surroundings” are right.

Target audience: Sofia is a feminine, in my eyes highly erotic, floral fragrance. It probably suits women of middle to more mature age who know how to wear it, who emphasize its nobility and exclusivity, radiating security, dignity, and self-confidence. But I still won’t give up easily. This name! This fragrance! A red-white-golden dream! I know I won’t be able to let go of her. Today is the second day of the rest with Sofia.

Ellie Saab le parfum is minimally more natural, a bit less sweet, slightly stronger & €1 per ml more expensive.
Nice scent, weak performance.

Most beautiful white flower ever. Its scent twin can't keep up. Enormous longevity and sillage.

Very similar to Le Parfum/Elie Saab,
but milder in its presence. H/S exemplary!
Feels a bit 'old-fashioned'.

Very beautiful, gentle floral scent, not an overwhelming bouquet of flowers. Slightly soapy, patchouli barely noticeable - thankfully!

Beautiful jasmine scent, starting with citrus notes. Remains floral until the end, a lovely summery office fragrance for her.
