Nouveau Gourmand
Today I am enveloped within the exquisite embrace of MiN’s brilliant Magic Circus. The air outside is infused with a Skaðian breath of ice and glacial chill and I've found myself in need of irrevocable warmth and comfort. The only thing within my collection which seemed to have the ability to satiate my desire for nostalgic amenity was this, an undeniably beautiful aria of both sweet fairground confections and a masterfully balanced base of harmonious resins, woods and diaphanous musk, The opening smells of cotton candy which has been dusted with a scintillating fuchsia sparkle of pink pepper. There is the definite aroma of freshly candied nuts as well as just a touch of geranium which acts as a novel juxtaposition to the confiserie-chic aura that dominates the incipience of this elixir. As it dries down you are greeted with the warm nuzzles of a supremely gratifying blend of dulcet musks and airy, gossamer amber. This is easily one of my favourite gourmand fragrances, an ideal example of how with a virtuose hand can elevate a genre which is generally rife with the saccharine and unimaginably cloying. Bravo MiN!

Unique Grilled Pineapple & Cistus Blend, Freaky Fairground
What's going on here? Very crazy opening, grilled, thin slices of pineapple, fresh off the grill at the fairground, 2 meters away is the cotton candy stand, as well as a small popcorn machine, across from it is a stand filled with natural soap infused with herbs and spices, and every few seconds, a hint of pepper notes and notes of tarragon and thyme wafts by.

Very fittingly, in the heart, it transitions into this special dry-sweet-dried cistus, blending well with the roasted notes and the grilled pineapple. The roasted notes also subtly spread over the mentioned nuts, which are never really present as nuts, more like a byproduct of the roasted notes, while the cistus and grilled pineapple continue to dominate the stage. Overall, it becomes drier, with less fruit than at the beginning (where it was never classically fruity, but the pineapple was fresher and more present, as if it had just come off the grill).

The truly interesting phase is after just over 1 hour on the skin (on clothing, of course, it lasts longer), after which it leaves behind caramelized, delicate wood, very subtly, and a hint of grasses.

Nevertheless, I give it a fairly high rating, as I find the first 60 minutes on the skin to be truly unique and wonderfully composed. I hope the phases last longer on clothing over time.

Spinning the Wheel of Fortune
I spun the wheel! Everything was chaotic, a real jumble, and now: Ta-da: Here comes your Magic Circus!
I won't start from the very beginning, as that would be too confusing, but rather at the moment when Magic Circus reached me after a long workday through a mutual blind swap here in the forum. In typical enthusiasm of a perfume addict, I couldn't wait to spray the eagerly anticipated newcomer; the pyramid sounded so exciting, and your statements too. I quickly tore open the package, fished out the box, and from that, the elegant case, and there it was, the imposing black bottle - I sprayed it and - what was that?! That was dreadful! Completely different than expected, with a ton of that unbearable, artificial oud scent plus some other equally unbearable synthetic stuff, this artificial sandalwood or whatever, none of which was mentioned in the pyramid - I could barely stand it for five minutes, it was that bad. How can one write such utterly idiotic pyramids, I cursed inwardly!
I wrote to my swap partner that the scent was here, but it contained, literally, notes I hadn't expected. She couldn't help it; I shouldn't have spun the wheel of fortune and initiated a blind swap. My own fault. I was completely frustrated; I liked this scent far less than the one I had given away for it. Disappointed, I went to sleep.

The next day, I wanted to offer the scent for swap immediately and checked how much was left in the bottle, when I paused: What was that written on it? It said MiN and then: Voodoo. And in a flash, it became clear to me: A mix-up! This wasn't Magic Circus at all! Yippee!

So the wheel of fortune spun back with the help of the post and then forward again, and it was complicated, because the mistakenly not sent Magic Circus contained much more than the Voodoo.
Thus, the magic circus lived up to its name.

Now I really have it, and I like it a lot. Yet curiously, I still wonder about the details in the pyramid, which seem a bit magical to me:
The performance begins with a fog machine being turned on, and several barely visible pineapples and bergamots in a slightly medicinal pepper mist are whisked away in a flash with a drumroll. Under the white-misted black cloth, the spirit from the bottle slowly rises, surprisingly agilely slips out from underneath, and grows into a giant! The air is filled with its aura of light resin and dry wood with a hint of extinguished fire and incense. At first, it seems to have a solid stature and is entwined with earthly vanilla, but the larger it becomes and the more it unfolds, spreading through the room, the more transparent it gets. It is translucent but does not lose intensity, only density. It is a good spirit that knows how to fascinate the audience. It is amber-soft and mild, yet the crowd is in awe. As it slowly disappears at the end, people look around in confusion: Oh, did the performance last a full 8 hours? Hesitantly, the crowd disperses. Even the next day, many still feel the fascination of yesterday's performance in the Magic Circus: Was there not still a hint of amber and dry, spiced wood?

And if someone's path happened to lead them back to the circus, they would also see the sign: Spin the wheel and try your luck:
Performance 1: Horror Magic Modern Voodoo: Master MiN.
Performance 2: Bottle Spirit with Fruit Disappearing Magic: Master MiN.
Next month:
Performance 3: Fruit Dance with Wood Disappearing Magic: Master Frapin 1270.

Incredibly dark and atmospheric, yet still very well balanced. The woody notes create a strange sense of nostalgia.

Chilled gourmand, sweet pineapple, slightly nutty-caramel with patchouli. In the end, a real feeling of wood shavings - very intriguing.

Initially sticks like a candy cane: pineapple soaked in sugar topped with cotton candy and super sweet caramel; then spice and wood.

Pineapple + cotton candy fade quickly. Then a warm + nutty cuddle, slightly smoky. With not too sweet caramel + dry wood.

After a brief, chaotic start, it turns into a warm-spicy, dry-woody, mild-sweet amber-vanilla cuddle for hours. No fruit!
