Longevity at the expense of the scent
Preliminary remark:
Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to wear Fico di Amalfi for longer and have only tested it briefly at Douglas, so I cannot make a comparison.

The Fico di Amalfi La Riserva leaves me divided in two.

On the one hand, it has a full green fig, which can be perceived from the beginning to the end. In my opinion, the longevity and sillage are above average and the fig lingers much longer on the body than with Fico Nero, for example. In addition, the fragrance is complemented by pleasant citrus notes for the first 2 hours, especially the grapefruit, which I notice in a positive way. The result is a simple, but not too monotonous progression.

On the other hand, the fragrance becomes heavier and heavier for me as I wear it. The citrus disappears, the tonka bean prevails. The creaminess increases and robs the refresher its strength. It does have a longlasting effect, but at the expense of freshness.

Overall, it remains a good fragrance for me. However, if I had to choose, I would prefer a short, light pleasure with Fico Nero.

Big upgrade
Its just better, in my opinion. Less fruity-sweet but ads a new green aspect that directly reminds of the skin of the fig making this fragrance more photorealistic. Still fresh but more longlasting and profound. In the dry down the creamyness increases with a bit of amber in my opinion but the green fig stays. It’s no beastmode at all but it takes the very weak performance of the Og and makes it decent and more wearable.nnAlso for me the Og had like a faint sweat smell im the dry-down, I didn’t find it in this version.

Possibly my favorite fragrance of all time
This is the epitome of a juicy, succulent, ripe fig and citrus fragrance. Since this is the EDP, you can smell that it is a bit stronger/concentrated than the original in the sense that it will last longer, and it does. Beautiful on skin and hair and has great sillage. Feels like frolicking on the coastline, just what you'd anticipate from ADP's line. I love this SO much.

Great but not fantastic
My initial reaction to testing it was "its kind of meh", it opened beautifully with this fruity and really sweet fig and later turned into something that kind of reminded me of cotton candy. I wasnt the biggest fan at first as I thought that it was too harsh and synthetic for some reason. I let the fragrance sit for some time and returned to it a few weeks ago and found that that synthetic smell that had irritated me at first wasnt an issue anymore and i could really enjoy the fragrance. Its defenitely worth a smell and i would recommend it to anyone looking to get a sweet and fruity fragrance for the summer and not the classic citrus thats so popular that time of the year.

Fig with Finally Good Longevity
Acqua di Parma creates wonderful summer fragrances. Bergamotto di Calabria and fico di amalfi are, in my opinion, the best among them. Two wonderful, fresh, and purely natural scents. It's like having the fruit within oneself. But to be honest, for the price, the longevity is not worth it. There are, in my opinion (even though the scent is top-notch), better alternatives. Now Acqua di Parma has released a "perfume" variant. And apparently, it works after all. Finally, fico di amalfi with good longevity. The original variant smells a bit fresher and better, but I gladly pay this price as it is still a wonderful fig scent. At first, you can smell this fig that many desire. For me, it was initially a bit too strong and bitter. After a few minutes, it becomes more balanced and unfolds into a perfect, fresh, and fruity scent profile through its base notes. Simply delightful. I hope similar developments come out for Bergamotto di Calabria and Mandarino di Sicilia. But with this one, they have already done a great job!

Subtle, rounded creamy fig. Citrus is blended into the background on the opening. Final dry reads like lemony sandalwood on my skin. Lovely.

I prefer this to the original. It’s far more rounded and less screechy, but still very fresh. The fig is more prominent in this as well.

Grapefruit and fig over a synthetic base. Goes to skin scent in relative short order.

Performance issues of the cologne have been addressed significantly. Not as fresh but very close. Solid choice if you like a fruity fig.

Unripe fig with a hint of lemon at the start, I’d also guess fig leaf, transitioning into a synthetic fresh aftertaste.

Unfortunately, the newer AdP clearly shows its synthetic base, missing the classic Cologne character: orange and figs.

La Riserva, like a wine aged in a barrel. Strong, intense, and sweet at the expense of freshness. H/S good! Definitely a success.

Almost ripe figs are picked along with the leaves. Next to them are lemons and mandarins. Beautiful scent!

Iris? Iris! Works very well. Warmer than the original version, lovely, soft, yet summery. Less feminine.

Looking in the rearview mirror - Bye, Amalfi Coast! At home "Crap, left the figs in the suitcase at 38°C"! Too sweet, the original is 100x better!
