Can't help...
Clear, clean, fresh-spicy, woody, slightly cool-metallic, somewhat shower-gel aquatic and subtly sweet. A simple, rather casual fragrance with masculine DNA, but far from macho pretensions. Very approachable. Without great ambition. Except to smell pleasant. Despite its predominantly synthetic composition, it is almost free of any scratchiness or sharpness.
The three main components are the gummy-fruity aroma of juniper berries (which dominates the beginning of the scent), the soapy clean freshness of sage, and the ethereal-woody spiciness of cypress. They combine to create the aforementioned, very rounded, well-groomed, fresh-aromatic scent impression with an underlying shaving foam and delicate salty note (Ambrox, which does not disturb here). Initially an ideal extension of the shower, it becomes somewhat woodier and more serious over time.
Qualitatively a decent designer fragrance. In my view, it ranks just below Gucci (especially the Guilty line), Versace (pour Homme, Eau Fraiche), and Carolina Herrera (212 Men line), with which it shares some character traits (fresh, clean, straightforward, subtle sweetness).
It most clearly reminds me of the 2009 DKNY Men. Not in terms of scent perception, but in its essence. Both are characterized by a very straightforward, almost minimalist, understated, masculine-cool freshness. The Donna Karan scent is the grayer and more elegant fragrance (violet leaf). The Kors feels brighter and sportier. While DKNY Men gains depth in the base, Extreme Blue remains very stable and persistently fresh.
The longevity on my skin is about four hours of good visibility and a similarly long phase during which it is effortlessly present again and again. In the projection, it remains pleasantly unobtrusive over a longer period.
Overall, an uncomplicated, fresh-masculine scent that does without citrus and is distinctive enough despite its widespread characteristics to push several buttons for me. I like it a lot.
...falling in love with you.
