Short Lived Pink Pepper and Sandalwood

For reasons unknown, Miller Harris perfumes all have very poor performance on my skin; I get virtually no projection nor trail.

Other than that none have been offensive to my nose but all have been a little lack luster.

On first spray I got a little bergamot, then a few seconds of something that reminded me of juniper. A few minutes in and the whole settled into a strong pink pepper with a touch of sandalwood for about half an hour. By the hour mark most of the smell was gone leaving me with something that reminds me more of a a ceder-wood aftershave than a sandalwood perfume.

The first half an hour is quite nice and I am very fond of sandalwood perfumes in general (remembering most fondly Extract of Mysore Sandalwood by Crabtree & Evelyn) but this one is far too airy for my tastes and performance on me is quite lacking.

Cozy, creamy woods

There is something dreamy and soft about this, like wandering through a forest made of sunset clouds and warm cream.

The opening is gently spicy with saffron and pepper, but don’t worry if you aren't a pepper fan — this is mellow.

Soft woods and a lightly powdery floral then slowly emerge in a transition so gradual that I can’t pinpoint when it happens.

Amber and vanilla (not sweet at all) add warmth and additional creaminess to the base, while moss keeps it from floating away entirely.

As a semi-skin scent that lasts about 6 hours, this isn’t a fragrance for the 12-hour beast mode lovers. But if you’re looking for a cozy creamy woody non-gourmand completely unisex skin scent? You’ve hit the jackpot.

The Lightness Of Scent

Now this is extremely light and ethereal that I had a problem in detecting any scent at all. I eventually could pick up on a peppery freshness and a very soft sandalwood. Though it's so silky smooth and light you have to work your nose to try to discern it's presence.

As time passes I can pick up very tiny hints of incense and violet within the very soft and light creamy sandalwood. The pink pepper adds a nice rosy dimension to the soft sandalwood and the fragrance comes across as very sensual. It smells nice with quality ingredients but for a Edp I feel it needs more body. Projection is way below average and longevity is about three hours.

Light Fine Wood

I smell pepper in the initial burst, but not a sharp one, rather a fruity one. Alongside it comes a very fine sandalwood, very enveloping and somehow clean and bright. A gentle sweetness makes the fragrance absolutely wearable for both men and women. There is not a big change in the scent - and it doesn't need to be. It is beautiful, pleasantly understated, and subtly refined. I love the aroma of aromatic sandalwood. It becomes a bit close to the skin, remaining my companion for a good 6 hours. The next morning, the fine blouse still smells of gentle sandalwood and fine sweetness - like a freshly washed body from the morning after 8 hours in the experience of a day. An intimate sexiness - a beautiful, caressing, and subtle note on the skin and in the clothing. Price in the mid-range segment. I believe this fragrance can be well worn by him and her - sharing means love.
