Miller Harris Hydra Figue.
Let me start that I love this perfume. The scent notes made me nervous at first. But the cute blue bottle persuaded me to order the fragrance anyway. What a good choice. It's woody and spicy. But the tuberose and ouzo provide the freshness this perfume needs. It makes the scent sparkling and cheerful. The fragrance somehow reminds me of Philosykos and Parisian Musc. Where Philosykos is a household name and Parisian Musc a charming and chic perfume, Hydra Figue is the cheerful crazy little sister. Why I choose this one over the other two mentioned? The sparkling and refreshing what is summer needed. This brand also has a big plus; namely that they are completely cruelty-free. Which, unfortunately and to great shame, Diptyque and Matière Première are not.

Figs on the seaside
The name and the beautiful opaque aqua tone of the bottle are perfect for this scent. It's an aquatic, salted, mineral-infused fig scent. If salty fig makes you think of something like Mugler's Womanity, no, that's not what this is. Hydro Figue is cleaner and greener, and the fig in it feels more dense and milky instead of fruity. I love the slight spicy warmth that cardamom and saffron add to the scent.

My main criticism is that this has even more interesting and beautiful notes listed that I don't really detect. The way it is, it's very focused on the fig and the salty aquatic accord. Where are the vanilla, benzoin and musk, the tuberose and the fresh citruses? Why are they so subtle? I think if these were more noticeable, the scent would really come alive and become more unique and interesting.

I think if you're really into lighter fragrances and fig, you might love this, but if you're like me and usually prefer warmer and sweeter fragrances, it might be more of a like.

Lovely, but not for me
Aw what a shame. This is not what I wanted it to be. It is a beautiful fragrance, but not really for me.

I just discovered fig as a scent which I really love, so ordered this in a travel size. While I like it, there is also a sense of dryness which undoubtedly is the oakwood and sage.

I think my preference goes to Philosykos, which is fig fig fig, and nothing else.

It is beautiful though, just not for me, and leans a bit more masculine than I had expected. The sense of Greece is all there

Coastal fig
Opens with gently spiced citrus, with the fig and marine note appearing after 5-10 minutes.

The fig is not sticky or sweet -- instead it's green and velvety, backed by a sensation of warm, salty air. I don't pick up on the tuberose at all, which is surprising as I often find it overwhelming.

About 45 minutes later, softly musky woods emerge but the fig doesn't disappear, and that's where it stays for the next 6+ hours.

Overall it's refreshing yet comfortable, like sitting in the sunshine under a coastal fig tree.

Signs and wonders are still happening!
A fragrance with vanilla in the base and I - vanilla hater no. 1 before the Lord - think it's good! Sappalot and gosh, how could that happen...hell freezes over. Maybe it could be because the terrible pod doesn't make its mark fragrance-wise, even though it's listed?

But let's start from the beginning. After my recent love-at-first-sniff experience with Celadon, I remembered that I have four other samples from the company lying around. And my -positive- experience with Sisley has shown that when brands manage to create 1-2 really good unisex fragrances, the rest are often quite usable. No pressure :)

Design victim that I am, I liked the bottle (simple, elegant, minimalist) and the scents were neither the dreaded "sweet" nor "fruity", so the chances were good. Hydra Figue is a little overwhelming with its extensive "there's something for everyone" fragrance pyramid.
My currently somewhat hay fever-ridden nose couldn't really tell the difference between the top and heart notes. Citrus, yes - tending towards bergamot/ginger and the successful duo of cardamom/sage is also right at the start. And now to the fig - I smell fig, but not the fruit but rather fig leaf or green, young figs. No ripe, sweet fig flesh/juice. The scent remains wonderfully unsweet, is even slightly tart/spicy (due to the salt?) and reminds me strongly of Ichnusa or Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne + fig green. On my skin, the florality is also absent and it transitions rather seamlessly into creamy-woody. Ambroxan is not too annoying for a change and my pet hate, vanilla, is conspicuous by its absence. Yay!

Fans of creamy green should get their money's worth here. Don't ask me why, but fig+wood+musk always reminds me of the Palmolive olive+milk products. Definitely, fresh & clean and also good for summer aka warmer temperatures.

I think it can be worn well by both genders if you like softer scents. The 2/3 versus 1/3 split here reflects this quite well. If I had to complain, it would only be about the longevity, which could be a little better (it's fine on clothes, but I don't like it that much). Not a silage monster and that's a good thing. Effective range of good body lotion freshly applied.

Yes, nice - now I'm afraid to test the other three, if I like them just as much I'll have to sell body parts again. Menno...
