What fragrance do you use?
My own fragrance, the one that I prefer among all the niche perfumes.
I haven't been able to find out the olfactive pyramid of this fragrance. When I wear it, people ask me what fragrance I use...
Some people use to say that it similar to black afghano by nasomatto, I think it is different, because of the note that i smell after half an hour, i think the top notes are the same, but the heart ones are very different.
Unluckly it is very difficult to find this perfume, when I am in Spain, and I have to buy online.

A pleasant surprise of medically sterile smooth leather
I had no idea what coca leaf smells like, so naturally, I did not know what to expect. I have to admit, I quite like this scent! The opening is medicinal in an almost metallic-sterile way, cashmere note is also there with its "mildew" quality (which is happen to enjoy!)

But the real good stuff is in the dry-down - a smooth squeaky clean leather and a hint of smoky incense, quite pleasant, very unexpected... Very enjoyable if you love a rich leather scent and metallic notes.

NUDO - or the Mermaid without a Tail
"We are far out at sea, the water is as blue as the most beautiful cornflower and as clear as the purest glass"
Excerpts from the Danish author H.C. Andersen - 1837 - based on the legend of Undine - freely interpreted!
Some may be familiar with the tale of the little mermaid....
#The youngest daughter of the sea king lived quietly in a realm of supple plants, walls of coral and seashells.
She guarded the marble statue of a beautiful boy that sank to the sea floor when it was stranded, in her underwater garden. She was a strange child...quiet and contemplative. Now, Undine wanted to get to know the world "above". To find the prince.

NUDO unites for me all elements

FIRE - burning, demanding, sharp, piercing, all-consuming.
WATER -
Flowing in waves, ever-present, deep, enveloping, coldly embracing, urinous.
EARTH - steaming, floral, incense-laden, fecal, subtly musty accents.
AIR -
soft, erotic, sensual, bright citrus notes, sensory perception through inhalation.

High intensity. Possible effect on the limbic system cannot be ruled out. Pheromonal. Actual effect depends on mood and wearer :-)))

#Undine sacrificed her fish tail and her voice in pain to get legs instead of a tail. Mermaids have no tears. She wanted to find the prince with the black eyes and be close to him.
Yep....She saved him after a shipwreck! Day by day, she became dearer to the prince...just like one loves a good child....Now - the end of the story...the prince wanted the beautiful princess and not Undine. Maybe he simply "wasn't into" mermaids. She joined the "Daughters of the Air" to spread the scent of flowers among humans.#
I wonder what would have happened if Undine had not gone ashore. If she had kept her tail. But she also would have never felt, experienced the beauty of the world with all its scents, pain, and joy.

NUDO was/is "my" scent. No ifs or buts. Immediately. After the first spray.
If Orto Parisi's Stercus were male, then Morph's NUDO would take on the female part. There are supposed to be dual souls, soul twins among us humans...Why not also "dual scents" :-)))
I enjoy owning and wearing both. Stercus and NUDO. Never together....that would be too explosive...but who knows....
I like to combine with ISO E Super or Ambroxan.

The Senses Tease
I am standing in the hallway of the "Haus Eben Ezer" in Kropp near Schleswig. A friendly, older caregiver sprays a disinfectant or something similar onto a cloth and holds it under my demented mother's nose as she trots by with her head down. She sniffs - and recoils, briefly awakening from her mental lethargy. "It's important to occasionally tease the senses again..." he says.

---------

Jeanne Beaumont stands in shockingly unprotected nakedness before Commissioner Rosen, who is searching the apartment in pursuit of her husband and has her interrogated by a lustfully intrusive staff member. He calmly dismisses a complaint with: "I cannot remain in the presence of a naked woman." His henchwoman drags Jeanne back into the bathroom and says: "Rosen doesn't care what I do with you, as long as you talk!" (from "Der Profi")

These two very different scenes flooded my mind. A fragrance and its name did their work.

The floral note has something animalistic-stinky about it; jasmine is likely involved. It is almost turned medical. Perhaps reminiscent of the biting-bitter stuff from the dentist's office back in the day. Or the tincture meant to deter children from nail-biting. In any case, it is strangely unmistakably not cleaning product-like, but strictly medical - yet no less penetrating.

Underneath, there is already a "Gualtieri aroma" like that from Black Afgano and others. One might not want to trace it; the head recoils as soon as the biting-medical and increasingly latent morbid floral scent prevails near the skin. One could now guess to stay away from it, but that is not possible. Like a moth that repeatedly escapes the heat of the lamp yet is irresistibly drawn to the light again and again, I constantly smell it.

Only after more than two hours does the stench gradually recede and give way - to Mr. Gualtieri. Without support, I would undoubtedly have guessed it was an elaboration from the inventor of the "Bl-Afga-K" ("Black-Afgano-Class"). Alternatively, one of the numerous clones. That Gaukeleya refers to Carner's "Cuirs" is therefore completely understandable, as it belongs to the same category.

In the afternoon, the scent calms down, and a kind of equally metallic and wooden framework emerges. Nothing really new; it seems rather that an inner aspect of the previous scent character is being revealed. This would indeed be fitting considering the name. This peculiar wood is once again closely related to Gualtieri.

If this is nakedness, it is not pleasant. Rather, it is exposing. Unprotected.

Ultimately, I am left with a feeling of certain perplexity. Why is the demanding interplay of attraction and repulsion replaced by such a distinctly bare scent quotation? And what is to be revealed in the next step from this or out of it? I do not know.

Conclusion: Difficult. Experimental. Fascinating. Moving. Test? Definitely: yes. Blind purchase? Definitely: no.

I thank Ergoproxy for the sample.

Expanding Consciousness Through Sniffing?
The scents of the Italian brand Morph were unknown to me until recently. Thanks to Fischlandmen, who seems to have an infallible nose for special rarities, this unworthy state has now come to an end, and I find myself in possession of a sample collection of Morph's fragrances. Thank you very much! :-)

From the range, I dared to try Nudo last, as the fragrance classification and the listed notes did not seem particularly appealing to me. By the way, Morph's website is very sparse in its fragrance description; it merely informs us that the scent is supposed to represent the union of the spiritual and the worldly world.
Frankincense and coca plant are said to be brought together here, which already gives the fragrance the expectation of an interesting, undoubtedly consciousness-expanding and spiritual task.

Now, I am not particularly familiar with either of the mentioned sides; smoking products of all kinds have always been foreign to me and have never touched my personal spiritual or profane world; I have always contented myself with the observer position in this regard.
Not to mention the intake of other substances.

Question: what happens when I olfactorily consume Nudo, 1912?

First of all, I experience a medically piercing freshness, already slightly smoky, slightly resinous, somewhat sharp, but not tear-inducing biting. Marked. I think of eucalyptus. This is not unpleasant, although I sense something not quite adequate for me personally, but let’s first see what else unfolds.
Quickly, it becomes a bit more agreeable, softer, perhaps the "flowers" mentioned here? I cannot discern what kind they are. Maybe lavender? Because the scent remains fresh and spicy, and almost simultaneously, a very woody note spreads, not soft wood, but rather sharp-woody, yes, I dare say oudy.

I am reminded a bit of Carner Cuirs, the piercing-sharp, somewhat smoky wood, but with Nudo, it is still a bit fresher underneath; the citrus note is consistently present throughout. Warmth or sweetness do not emerge for me as the scent develops. Rather, I catch a hint of soapiness, which does not detract from the fragrance and adds a touch of elegance to its prominence.
I perceive Nudo as rather masculine; I definitely envision a male wearer here, more existentialist than sunshine boy, despite a certain introversion, also gladly noticeable and relying on his special, non-physical aura, cultivating the different.
However, Nudo would undoubtedly not be out of place on some women; yes, perhaps Nudo could even serve as a particularly special enhancer of luminosity. Give it a try!

I find Nudo relatively linear, but strong in projection and very, very long-lasting: after 12 hours of wear and a shower in the morning, it is still very noticeable, even though I had only applied 2 sprays. My fleece jacket, which I wore in the evening to chill on the terrace, still spreads a strongly perceptible Nudo scent throughout the entire apartment today. Which, by the way, is not unpleasant; yes, I am inclined to say:

I wouldn’t necessarily want to sniff Nudo on myself, but as a special, diffuse hint in the air, I find it extremely pleasant. This realization I have consciously taken with me, and what Nudo does to me in the subconscious, I will probably never find out anyway. I think I will leave the jacket hanging unwashed in the wardrobe a bit longer, because who knows..!

The coca leaf adds a green-medicinal touch in the opening, while the drydown reveals an incense-leathery vibe. Similar to BA, but stronger!
