No animal in Animal.

Whatever animal this is supposed to be, it`s probably as damn good at camouflaging itself as Alien. The movie. Not the perfume :-) There is an infusion of sandalwood, the dill pickle kind, that has a touch of dry dusty iris. It reminds me of Santal 33 Eau de Parfum, but it`s not as jam packed with sandalwood as that one. The ambroxan is not too bothersome, so this doesn`t read too sweet. It does feel synthetic, however. It`s an okay scent, nothing to get crazy about. If you love sandalwood, there are a lot of other better choices out there, my favorite being Milky Musk/39 or Santal Volcanique.

A floral-earthy experience marked by subtle animalic notes

The fragrance Animal from the Italian manufacturer Morph offers a very unique scent experience. This floral earthy fragrance manages to pair Western scent elements like iris, ambroxan, and musk with oriental, spicy, subtly animalic notes.

The scent is initially very floral and woody, but always carries a certain depth and darkness with it. This does not change throughout the further development of the fragrance; however, after 1-2 hours, distinct oriental and spicy notes join in. In the dry-down, the full potential of the fragrance is revealed, rewarding you with a warm woody spectacle shaped by flowers and spices.

The scent reminds me of a flower field in the middle of a big city, where herbs grow alongside the flowers and a gentle spring sun shines on wet wood.

At first sniff, the fragrance may seem somewhat unusual, but in my experience, it is not perceived as unpleasant by those around you. Animal is not a scent that suffocates those nearby, even though one might think so given the name and the fragrance notes. Despite its depth and heaviness, it is always very pleasant and inviting.

Out of the collection, this is probably my favorite; one truly comparable fragrance is hard to find. To me, this scent is a statement fragrance, a scent with a lot of character and power, and I definitely believe that this wonderful fragrance receives far too little recognition.

Very interesting scent.
Earthy-floral-animalic-herbaceous yet still rounded and clear.

Um...well, this scent smells to me like cucumber salad with a lot of dill and a bit of cream. Now the question is, who would want to wear that and when?
