Let's not kid ourselves folks. The fragrance comes from the Ombre Nomade family. So far so bad for some, so far so good for me & fans of this DNA.
This review would also tend to end quickly if Nabeel didn't add his own interpretation.
Noticeably different for me are 3 essential aspects that differ from the original:
Instead of the simple raspberry, I notice the berry mix which is slightly fruity in the opening and remains more or less present in the further course.
Floral notes of jasmine and rose expand and support the basic DNA, which naturally broadens the fragrance. This makes the whole thing quite sweet, which is why the fragrance simply comes across as lighter, more wearable and not so heavy Similar to the original, incense rounds off the overall package at the end. The difference, however, is that the incense has a more subdued effect here and thus really rounds it off.
Otherwise, the fragrance offers exactly what Ombre Nomade is known for. In my opinion, the oud is just not quite as dominant.
So what's the conclusion?
Yes, I ask myself the same question. Another Ombre Nomade representative that expands on the basic idea.
For me, the fragrance has no rough edges, but it is more multi-faceted. It is much more wearable and therefore easier to like.
Is that now a dupe?
- no, certainly not for me.
For me, it's another successful alternative to Ombre Nomade where I'm starting to get the feeling that this DNA somehow doesn't seem mature. These floral notes in particular fit the basic idea quite well. However, this gives it strong parallels to the equally good Rescent Man.
If I also look at the price aspect, I realize where I would rather reach for.
I get a lot more fragrance here at a fraction of the price of the original. And that from Nabeel. #justmy2pfennig
