Synthetic fresh floral

The synthetic aspect really does have this scent leaning hard into air freshener vibes. Once you get past that, it's a fresh fruity-floral with a fair amount of sweetness. My first impression had me thinking Bright Crystal Parfum and my second I'd say a bit of Delina La Rosée as well. You've got your peony, rose, fruits, and sweet. The sweet really doesn't appeal to me personally, but if you can wait for the musk to kick in and tamp down that air freshener feeling, you might enjoy it.

beautifully packaged industrial air freshener

I was really excited to try one of the Nest perfumes. The names and notes sounded great, and I love the art they use - delicate botanical drawings on black backgrounds. I found and ordered Dahlia & Vines samples on eBay, thinking that it also might please my niece, the peony admirer.

Sadly, this has the powerful synthetic blast of a chemical used to "freshen" public bathrooms. It's a highly amped-up abstract version of peony and lychee. Over time, it mellowed a bit, but did not develop any interesting nuances. When I went to the Nest website to see what price they had the gall to sell this for, I saw that it is no longer available in any form. So, perhaps the company felt the shame they rightly should have and decided not to inflict this on anyone else.
