rich coconut yumminess
I adore this coconut scent! Perfume oils are a bit tough for me to apply, but I had a little decant from a sampler set I'd purchased to buy something else and actually spring for the rollerball of this instead. On my skin, this scent has the perfect amount of sillage and lasting power (I prefer low intensity and pretty long lasting power), and is fun to layer with lighter, fresher fragrances to give them a summery depth and add longevity, like Cloud or Vacation. I'm still working through the little sample because perfume oils require so little product on my skin chemistry. This isn't a groundbreaking scent, but it doesn't smell as synthetic or cloying as many coconut scents do, and that makes it worth it for me.

A wonderful fresh coconut scent
I’ve found my favorite true coconut with Nest Balinese Coconut. When I first started my fragrance journey, I thought I’d never like a coconut scent and now, I’ve fallen head over heels with one. It’s not groundbreaking or standout, but not every fragrance needs to be!

BC is a BEAUTIFUL, simple, salty, fresh coconut scent. You can pick out all four notes in luscious harmony, none of them overpowering one another and with coconut as the star of the show. It’s actually so stunning on its own, but layers extremely well with other scents. Idk how Nest did it, but they were able to make a gorgeous coconut scent that’s not sickeningly sweet or synthetic, and not having to compete with some white floral (tiare is actually perfect because it has coconut nuances) like I’ve usually come across it in scents. It’s also not giving sunscreen in the slightest bit, which I appreciate a lot.

This is the best performing Nest perfume oil I’ve come across, with 7+ hours of longevity and 3-4 hours of moderate to strong sillage. You will leave a gorgeous, sweet, salty, and silky trail of coconut everywhere you go if you were this on a warmer day. I really wasn’t expecting to fall in love with this scent so quickly and I hope Nest never discontinued it. It’s a must try / have for anyone who isn’t afraid of coconuts!

Beach vacation that took a wrong turn...
My first time trying out perfume oils and so far it is quite lovely! I think the rollerball of my sampler (not the real bottle) has a bit of difficulties in rolling out the oil, but other than that it's nice. I have a few perfumes containing coconut I have to try out, so I wanted to test this one first because coconut is one of its main notes and won't be drowned out by other notes and accords.

The coconut here is creamy, slightly sweet and plenty lactonic. It avoids the powdery territory which I found nice. There's no sunscreen vibe but since it's coconut, there is this association with beach vacations. I did smell a luscious and heavier scent in the background which seems to be the accompanying tiaré (although I have never smelled this flower on its own). It gave off a heady aspect to the coconut. I started detecting musk about 20 minutes later and that is when things started to go downhill. Usually it plays nice on my skin but, in a few instances, it turns out dirty (and not in the best way). I have yet to discover why. The dirty musk striked and started ruining my overall appreciation of the perfume. I would've prefered if it hadn't been there.

It still remains a nice flowery coconut oil that gave a nice glow to the skin where I applied it. I haven't given up yet on coconut notes and I'm hoping one day I'll find one that's nice, but this was not it. I will not be going forward with this oil mainly because of the musk, but that doesn't mean it couldn't work for you. I recommend trying and not blind-buying.

pleasant floral coconut
I personally find the scent (especially in the travel size) perfect for summer and warm vacation days :) The fragrance is, since it is an oil, very subtle and not too overpowering. It reminds me more of a body lotion that lasts a long time and less of a typical heavy coconut perfume. For some, it might even be “too little,” but for people with a sensitive nose (like me), it comes highly recommended!

As for the fragrance notes, I often read that Balinese Coconut smells purely like coconut to many. I can't fully agree with that, as on my skin the floral notes are also quite present, which I actually like :)

a very boring combo of coconut and frangipani. no particular beach/tropical associations; but maybe could be used as a base for layering

Beautiful scent but disappointing longevity of less than 30 minutes. Matiere Premiere Vanilla Powder is the perfume version of this.

Walking along the beach, sipping from a straw poked into a young coconut, a flower tucked behind your ear. Breezy & fresh, simple, pretty.

An enjoyable, musky coconut scent. But I won't be repurchasing due to the price.

Tropical beach vacation. Creamy, fruity coconut without being waxy. Flowers create a gentle frame. Soft, sensual, sweet, linear.

When the coconut reflects its life in the scent journey:
- Green, unripe, and smooth
- Ripe with hairy outer shell
- Blossom

sweet floral coconut, linear and simple, but delicious. Could be nuttier for me, but the flowers remain very present. Great for layering.

Unfortunately, I get a plastic note in the background? Otherwise very nice - but I expected more after so many good reviews online...
