Lovely and Unique
Dear God! I L-O-V-E this perfume!

Starts out with peach, peony, black currant, a hint of clove, and raspberry. Then it turns into a creamy, raspberry nuanced jasmine on my skin. The dry down is pure heaven. I've never smelled anything like it. I'd like to say raspberry jam, but it is too deep and complex for that. Also projects very well and lasts 12+ hours on my skin, Just beautiful...

SacreBleu
It opens almost with an uncanny realistic organic note of raspberry that is a bit
reminiscent to dried fruit in preservatives with an freshness that is
barely common in mainstream perfumery.
Then in a few minutes dries to an underpinning note of succulent black current then with faint and elusive note
of peony makes it hardly noticeable like
all of the other floral notes in Sacrebleu then deep resiny texture of
incense dominates the fragrance not letting jasmine that is seem to be pushed in the fragrant background
to shine and ends with powdery vanilla.

My absolute favourite from PdN
To me, Patricia de Nicolai is a kind of "überexpert"-perfumer, I like most of her work and I love "Sacrebleu". This perfume is powerful, when you spray it on, the initial in-your-face whiff of mandarin, carnation and cinnamon comes as a surprise. Then softer notes waft in: carnation, patchouli, tonka bean, sandalwood. The clove-spicy carnation can be felt all the time. You don't get many flowers from the heart of this great perfume, but there is a touch of mysterious incense combined with a certain warmth, a rich, dark depth. This creation is totally unique (nothing else smells like it) and feels luxurious and sophisticated. Probably not that easy to slip into at first whiff, but extremely pleasurable to wear, sublime after one hour, with an addictive warmth that lingers on and on.

I am strong! I have an iron will and I can resist
I mumble into my beard. I bite the edge of the table. Writing down 1000 times: "I am strong! I have an iron will....."
I have fallen in love! Sacra is such a great scent! This is femininity in a bottle. My principles are baring their teeth. I will chain myself to the desk with handcuffs so that I don’t scour the WWW. It MUST remain an unfulfilled love. After all, I haven’t married every man I’ve ever been in love with.
Fortunately, I don’t get any berry soda, or rather, it’s a shame, because then I wouldn’t have liked Sacrebleu and that would have been a good thing. A wonderful mandarin note leads to a feminine and finely spiced floral note, and since I’ve recently started to like tuberoses, this very feminine impression is only intensified.
I do like powdery scents, but if they powder me to the point where I can’t breathe, then I do get the urge to run. Not so with Sacrebleu! It powders finely and warmly in the base. It smolders gently without becoming loud at any point, and Sacrebleu has an astonishing longevity. A comfort for me is - and this makes me a bit more principled - that Parfum Sacré by Caron (which I own) smells almost similar. But still, if I sniff my hand a few more times, then... But I am strong, I have an iron will.....

Meditation
In testing Sacrebleu, I find myself on unfamiliar ground.
This is a fragrance family that I am rather unaccustomed to, and it takes me quite a while to find my bearings. But now I've got it, and Sacrebleu has captured me.
Conquered!

To greet me, I am embraced by many fresh mandarins, still adorned with plenty of green leaves. Behind them, all the flowers of the surrounding garden are ready, and although I would love to hold onto this beautiful gentle fruity-green-floral greeting note a little longer, I am now taken on a journey by the gathered floral scent:

A very small, snow-white church in the middle of green nowhere, quite plain on the outside, pure Baroque on the inside, all white and golden, bathed in sunlight.
Half an hour ago, a wedding took place here.
The warm scent of the floral decorations, the candles, the light wood of the church benches - and in the air, the very faint, bluish hint of incense - that is Sacrebleu. For me.

For me, nothing is dark here.
I do not experience a disturbing, opulent diva - or even femme fatale - appearance, but rather I encounter and enjoy a wonderfully tender, very soft fragrance that conveys a deep tranquility. And this lasts for a very long time; the longevity is incredible.

I am surprised that a fragrance, which indeed has several ingredients that would normally compel me to keep a respectful distance (e.g., the opulent tuberose), can enchant me so much that it quietly makes its way onto my wish list!

A ball in the Ancien Régime. Powdered wigs, petits fours, lavish dresses, politeness, and deep necklines.

One of the most beautiful creations from PdN. Profound, fascinating, warm, spicy, strong, unmistakable. Perfect for fall/winter.

Floral-warm and slightly spicy-soapy. I don't find it oriental or punchy at all, but very pretty.

Great going-out scent! This is how mothers should smell, so their children will have a perfume memory!
