Escapism
Sometimes you want to go back, you want to press delete, backspace, escape. When nothing works anymore, then it doesn't work anymore and you wish away, away into another world, a daydream, a dream world, a place where everything is soft, bright and light and happy and a smile conjures itself on our face as if by itself, relaxed, cheerful, serene, so that you want to start hopping, hopping like a child, a carefree child.
When I pick up this Nina Ricci apple and look inside, I sense a world of wonder even before I press the spray button. Then, in joyful anticipation, I spray and - Hocus Pocus Fidibus, Three Times Black Cat, Open Sesame and Bricklebrit - I derail, the smiles begin and I look around for my jump rope and my swing.
I obviously have some candy with me, fruit candies of the mild variety made from fruit juice, lime and cherry cream flavors, and a nice big red and white striped lollipop. The candies are mild chewy candies and the lollipop is flavorful and not sticky at all. The white tastes fresh like lemon and the red tastes like candied rose petals with vanilla sugar. The sky is smiling blue, all the shrubs and trees are in bloom, giving off a delicate fragrance reminiscent of cherry blossoms. There goes a breath of air and I jump, I skip, I laugh carefree like a child.
Still some hours remains thereby a sweet residue vanilla sugar with candied rose petals on the tongue.
