Fougere-y, beachy blue fragrance

I think men are so sick of the blue/shower gel style of fragrance that any similarity to Bleu de Chanel Eau de Toilette or Fierce Cologne is immediately dismissed as bland, unoriginal, played out, etc. I'm not going to say that Deziro is revolutionizing the scent game, but it's not a bad twist on the genre, and it's not as unoriginal as many reviewers are making it seem. To be honest, I think a few reviews are just based on smelling on a strip, since the scent opens up nicely on skin.

There's a couple of differences I find between Deziro and other, more generic blue fragrances: firstly, in the opening/mid, the carrot and marine notes combine to give off a bit of a sunscreen/beachy vibe, which is what the marketing for this fragrance seems to focus on, even though it is not a summertime fragrance per se.

Second, it has a really nice vetiver drydown that makes it seem more gentlemanly and refined than other blue fragrances. It almost goes the direction of a full on fougere, giving me the Platinum Égoïste Eau de Toilette kind of vibes. Except the oakmoss is replaced with vetiver in the base.

Not a bad fragrance, maybe a bit boring compared to other Nishane fragrances, but a really nice dumb reach that can work in any situation.

Boring?

I was originally drawn to Deziro because I'm a sucker for marine fragrances. I live in the tropics so marine fragrances are versatile and work for most of the year and on top of that it was created bu master perfumer Alberto Morillas so, it's safe to blind buy right?

I started watching/reading reviews raising some concerns so I waited for a good deal to make sure I didn't spend as much. There are good and bad aspects to Deziro. The good: is very nice and clean, as mass appealing as they come so if you're a casual fragrance user it's a safe bet. You'll smell good and you might even get compliments. The bad: if you're a fragrance enthusiast this just won't cut it, it's far too generic. I can bump into someone wearing it and you'll probably won't recognize it because it can be any of the run of a mill blue fragrances out there. Deziro's performance is good but I'm not sure I wanna smell like it all day, after a while I just want it to stop so I can wear something more exciting.

Meh....

Deziro is a surpisingly dull release from the brand. While not every fragrance needs to be highly complex, this one is excessively boring, even within its category. It's strange that Nishane chose to realease somthing so uninspiring. The simplicity of this scent doesn't justify its price, and i would choose any other Nishane fragrance over this one. Unnecessery release..

Deziro, the desire for vacation!

Deziro !

At the beginning, a zesty citrus accord where the mandarin pairs exceptionally well with the maritime notes. This gives the whole fragrance an excellent fresh start.

As it develops, the geranium, mint, and cypriol become more prominent. The scent evolves into a slightly creamy direction with a lighter sharpness, imparted by the sandalwood and vetiver. The amber adds a sensual aura and contributes to the slightly creamy note. Hidden among all these notes is a little coconut; even though it is not listed, it is present. And that's a good thing!
The freshness and the aquatic note remain consistently present.

In the dry down, a calming and sensual hint of vetiver, aquatic notes, and sandalwood lingers.

Deziro is, in my opinion, an excellent fragrance. Exotic yet elegant. The perfect companion at the beach and for a sophisticated dinner. A brilliant, summery scent for warm temperatures.

It's always good to have this kind of fragrance in your collection

Nishane Deziro, received as a sample a month ago: Is it something special/new? “No, definitely not.” Are there more interesting fragrances? “Yes, of course.” Should it get a rating above 7? “No.” Nevertheless, it’s good to have such a fragrance in your collection!

In everyday life, between work, family, daycare, hobbies, etc., there simply isn't the time and sometimes the desire to think every morning about which fragrance fits best today. Deziro is made for such days - category: “uncomplicated all-rounder,” similar to Percival or Bleu de Chanel.

Its fresh orientation makes it especially wearable for me in spring and summer. However, it can also be worn year-round without any issues. And although there are undoubtedly cheaper alternatives, I personally like Deziro the most at the moment. Perhaps also because it is worn less frequently compared to Chanel or Parfums de Marly.

In summary, one can say that it is not a must-have for fragrance lovers, or if you already have fragrances like Percival or Bleu de Chanel in your collection. Since my Percival has now run out, I will choose Deziro. Such a fragrance should not be missing in my collection at least.
