When moonlight meets skin ...
Pietra di Luna - even the name sounds like magic and the soft glow of moonlight. Inspired by the mysterious moonstone, this fragrance promises a calming, creamy aura. But does it deliver what it promises?
Milk cream, banana, coconut - it was clear to me from the start that Pietra di Luna would be creamy. And that's exactly how it is. However, I particularly like the top note: a bitter orange that is reminiscent of grapefruit and gives the fragrance a fresh, lively opening.
After the fresh start, Pietra di Luna quickly softens. The creamy notes unfold: it smells like a luxurious and fluffy body lotion with orange zest mixed in. Banana and coconut are not very noticeable, but they give the fragrance a soft, velvety fullness.
In the heart, Pietra di Luna shows its most delicate side: the tiare appears almost weightless in the moonlight, the tuberose remains even more discreet in the background, both flowers float like a fine, floral veil over the creamy base.
Incidentally, there is a beautiful legend surrounding the tiare: It is said to be closely associated with the moon goddess Hina and to open its flowers especially in the soft glow of the moon. An image that fits the fragrance perfectly.
The finish of Pietra di Luna is creamy, sweet and vanilla-like - gentle and unobtrusive. The fragrance fades quietly, soft and calming.
To summarize: Pietra di Luna does not transport you to an exotic paradise in bright sunshine, but to a mysterious flower garden in the soft moonlight. Everything remains somewhat pale and restrained, almost like a delicate veil on the skin. Pietra di Luna therefore lives up to its name - the fragrance envelops gently and quietly, but remains too pale and unspectacular for my taste.
If, on the other hand, you like restrained, creamy fragrances that are close to the skin, Pietra di Luna could be just the thing for you.
