BR540 with a salted caramel opening
Rame starts out with a toasty salted caramel. It reminds me somewhat of immortelle flower at first, as it has a similar dry, almost savory saltiness. This caramel is slightly burned, not completely smooth and creamy. The citron note adds a splash of uplifting citrus, which is really nicely done here.
As the scent dries down, it becomes closer and closer to Baccarat Rouge 540. At first it's just an undertone, but as time goes on it becomes very pronounced. Rame is not as medicinal as BR540 can be though, it's more focused on the sugary and woodsy aspects of it. It feels a bit more subdued, too, not as loud as Baccarat Rouge, and the salty caramel is still noticeable in the background.
A nice scent, but not really what I'm looking for. I don't enjoy the dryness of the opening, the rest of the scent is pleasant. But I think the best fragrances by Omnia Profumi are Bronzo and White Madera, those are outstanding gourmands, while this is just fine.
