Unforeseen encounter
First was the spring, The hawthorn blooms and gives off herbsweet scents.
Cyclamen flower again or still and carry on their characteristic Odeur.
Lilac opens its buds with their bewitching aroma.
Then summer comes. Scented geraniums and grasses release their warm scents.
Until finally autumn unfolds its woody earthy notes.
Most of the time this happens with a larger transition.
It is not suddenly summer or autumn, at least normally. And certainly not these three seasons exist at the same time. At least as normal.
But there is a scent that can do that. "Opals".
It carries the name of a semi-precious stone and can somehow "conjure".
By recalling spring, summer and autumn almost simultaneously.
And thus creates classic confusion. The brain cannot imagine at first what the nose smells.
Then the brain wants to explain what the nose can't do by smelling it.
But the brain can explain it badly, only enjoy what the nose tells it.
An unexpected coincidence.
Once captured, I have to realize: an unusual, unexpectedly good fragrance...
