The scent of spicy holiday candles as a refined perfume
A spicy gourmand lover's dream come true!
Clove and cinnamon are the most important notes here. They're extremely warm and intense, but thankfully they don't come across as too dry, as they're followed by a beautiful, extremely creamy vanilla, amber and sweet gooey caramel. I don't get a lot of tobacco here, only a very light hint, and I don't smell leather at all. This is not a dark perfume, on the contrary: It's a light on dark winter days and smells almost good enough to eat.
Vanilla, cinnamon and clove together are very much a Christmas scent blend to me, so I'm surprised how much I still enjoyed my decant of Bronzo when I sampled it in February. I must admit that it does remind me of the scents used in holiday candles, but in the best possible way, without any cheap waxy undertones.
I think the peach blossom note is the secret ingredient in this olfactory Christmas cookie. It's barely noticeable, but it adds a light, clean fruit tone to this that lifts the fragrance and makes it more wearable.
The name is perfect for it, if scents had a color this would 100% be bronze.
Performance-wise this is absolutely great. It lasts forever and one spray is enough to get some strong wafts of scent around you without being overwhelming. I think this shows how well-crafted the fragrance is. At this level of sweetness, spiciness and general intensity a scent could easily turn to an annoying sickly mess, but that never happens with Bronzo.
This might not be signature scent for everyday use, but if you crave cinnamon gourmand goodness it's almost unbeatable.
