A gourmand for chypre fans and vice versa
I don't like Aninanobile's ingredient list at all. Susan's description for it all the more. For this reason alone I had to test it.
I haven't had too good experiences with neroli and sweet notes in combination so far. First, Love don't be Shy Eau Fraiche by Kilian comes to mind, which I actually would have liked with its delicate yet gourmand appeal. Neroli, however, brought unrest into this. It created a combination of notes like licking a vanilla ice cream at the 7411 fountain. Does it taste like that? To me, a bit like tuna with jam. Therefore, I am initially skeptical when I find neroli and gourmandiges in the interaction.
Animanobile is none of these things. Because neroli doesn't smell like neroli here. The citrus in this fragrance seems dark green. I'm thinking galbanum or labdanum. If I didn't know, I wouldn't think we were dealing with a neroli note here.
Animanobile balances between two fragrance families, namely chypre and gourmand. On one side, these tart green notes that almost seem a bit fun. On the other, this sweet and sensual vanilla that embraces you tenderly. As if Fräulein Rottenmeier would prepare pancakes with vanilla sauce for Heidi and smile radiantly.
I would not have thought that something like this could work, but Omnia Profumi proves that it even works wonderfully. Animanobile is a gourmand that could convince even a chypre lover. Now I also realize why Susan rated it as highly as I do. At the same time, this fragrance can open the heart of a gourmand fan to chypre notes. It's a really beautiful composition, and an unusual one at that. Personally, I would now be more intrigued by Cosmic by Solange Azagury-Partridge with its sweet resins, wanted to venture into chypre realms, also because this vanilla here is not quite mine, but this is a fragrance of similar quality and with quite a great surprise effect. Definitely try if you want to sniff something different.
With SLs Douce Amère he has for me, however, not much in common. For it, he also lacks the resinous component again.
Many thanks to Susan for the test opportunity.
