Smoky floral
Mandorava and I got off on the wrong foot, but that was simply because I misread its character. In the end it turned out to be a big dramatic floral, so inevitably we became good friends.
The top notes took me by surprise. A big stick of incense. No church or buddhist temple, but straight up hippie festival type of incense. They recede within the hour, just to remain faintly in the back. Then it is time for the best part, in my opinion. Big florals! At first the more exotic florals like champaca. Later on also some familiar white florals can be detected. Together with a big sweep of (non-animalic) civet these build up a huge floral-aldehyde structure with smoke and dry woods in the base.
This fits well in Prin's range of vintage-style florals. It is somewhat similar to the Prin-branded Mandodari. Both are well worth a test run if you are up for florals with a kick.
