Adventures in an enchanted forest

Häxan is a fragrance full of beauty. It's not only simply beautiful, it's somehow hauntingly beautiful.
Smelling Häxan I can evoke all the fantasy novels I've read in my elder childhood, all the enchanted or even haunted woods, where the mighty warriors, crafty wizards or elven archers ever put their steps into, and where they had to face various challenges and encounters with the mystical creatures of the very deep forests.
An earthy, mysterious, deep, dark, and yet inviting and irresistible smell, which will embrace you and never again release you.

Fougere with a twist

A lovely composition from Prin Lomros in collaboration with Rajesh Balkrishnan. An agrestic-fougere with a twist, unlike anything I have smelled. I don't get the whole witchcraft mumbo jumbo. This perfume is rather luminous, like the brightest days spent in the summer fields. A complex composition that plays on the Fougere edge through the use of lavender and several aromatic herbs while also nodding to the countryside by employing grassy, hay-like, and earthy accords, as well as goat hair tincture. The latter is barely detectable, as opposed to other works of his. More than anything, it helps to provide a beautifully warm creaminess to the base. The mushroom is prominent, especially in the early stages, alongside spruce, galbanum, and hay. The lavender is there but kept in check by clever usage of cashmeran and beeswax to caress its potentially abrasive nature. It is well blended and feels like a polished perfume, sophisticated and easy to wear while offering an olfactory journey. You will smell unique without polarizing your surroundings, as most of his creations are notorious for—an early favorite of mine from the house.

Herb feast

Madness. A big fat mushroom and every herb that Prin could find. They all dance around and around a cedar tree. Wild and restless, constantly in motion. Creepers and crawlers everywhere. Or wait, it was a conifer tree. Or maybe no.. I am lost. This is on the verge of chaos.

Two hours into this shroom trip and we are getting into a calm and steady situation. Okay, I can breathe again. Still a bit mysterious, still in motion but no longer frantic. The mushroom is starting to wear off. Together with the herbs it has become a brown-green broth. Warm, balsamic and woody. This phase is much nicer. It is harder and harder to pick out individual notes. Clearly we are still in the forest. There is a familiar scent that feels both natural and soothing. Yes soothing, after quite some psychedelic moments. From this point onward things stay calm and start to fade out slowly.

Okay, back to reality. This was an adventurous afternoon. Fun for this once, but I am not going to make it a habit. I can not possibly think of an occasion where I would pick this perfume to wear. Other than a night of experimenting with mind-expanding substances, maybe. I'll pass.

occultist smell

this reminds me of both orthodox churches and an old witch living in a hut in the woods. it's also a bit cigarettey too, like one of those crowded little thrift stores where you can get a whole bag of cool junk for $5. there are so many notes, but they all come together well into a bitter, boozy, medicinal potion that you'd get from either the witch or the priest. either way, it has both physical and spiritual properties. don't know if i explained this well, i love it so much.

Success in a beautiful bottle

I blind bought it. I am glad I did. Wow. So many notes and you can smell a bit of everything throughout the life of it, its so fascinating. It constantly changes, and the smell is so addicting, I am shocked at just how much I like it. It also is extremely wearable, as opposed to other offerings from the house, this one is one of the most versatile scents I have come across whilst being so beautiful and interesting, its like a dance of all the notes. Anyone who is tired of the designers and the more generic niches, this is what you need in your life. This is a fairy in a bottle.
