Blind Test: Aventus vs. Bleu Satin
I tried (F573) Aventus vs. Bleu Satin to see if I could tell which one was which, totally blind.
I couldn't tell off the initial attempt, they were too similar. In my mind I thought from smelling them both separate they were nothing alike..but they absolutely are.
Once these dried down a bit after a few minutes it was easier to pick out which one was Aventus, Aventus has a bit of a smoky undertone hiding in the background whereas Bleu Satin is brighter.
But these honestly smell virtually identical, you have to really hunt for that smokiness to figure out which is which.
I was surprised how similar these are, it was like doing the Coke vs. Pepsi challenge where just the slightest nuance between the two when you're going into it totally blind....it's harder to detect than you'd think.
Performance wise...Bleu Satin is a joke, this is 2-3 hours MAX and it's not even a skin scent anymore. That F573 batch of Aventus I can still smell it on my skin 10 hours later.
Scent wise, I actually prefer Bleu Satin, it's just a bit brighter.
