Marco in his Polo
My first thought is of a shy young Marco, letting his arm hang out of the Polo, the Polo (older model, but souped up to the max) and his young face hidden behind a stylish pilot's sunglasses and the currently trendy, elongated bangs that shrink his field of vision.

He came to this fragrance because the Douglette simply convinced him that it was made for him. Moreover, it fit his budget; gas was a priority now, and the Polo was thirsty. Marco, of course, doesn’t know much about women (more about young girls), and he knows nothing at all about the calculating Dougletten, who are trained to sell these brand-new fragrances. But even his buddy, who was there, seemed very convinced by the fluting words that came from the heavily made-up mouth of the Douglette, and he casually considered painting his spoiler in that dark purple color, which looks good against the black of his Polo.

The Douglette wasn’t entirely wrong; Marc O’Polo Men is a good fragrance recommendation for the young type of man or the young-at-heart, sporty, fresh type from later generations. Oh, and Marco just turned 18, and his driver's license is as fresh as he is. This fragrance does seem a bit shy to me at first; I have to concentrate hard to smell it, as the fragrance molecules are sparingly dosed. Yes, a bit of ginger pepper... but I believe there’s something there. I find it difficult to navigate between the top note and the heart; I can't make a precise identification, but I don’t find what unfolds shortly after application unpleasant; it’s fresh and spicy, more the mix that makes it work, Marco can confidently hold down the spray head.

On my skin, a delicate fresh spiciness remains in the base, cedar and musk blend very pleasantly, this fragrance does no harm and is absolutely unobtrusive. Very pleasant. One might consider, if he can’t let go of this fragrance, acquiring the complementary series. I would definitely gift it to Marco if he were my son. I generally see the man wearing this fragrance more in his leisure time, in everyday life. Women are not impressed by Marc O’Polo Men; they are rather calmed by it.

One more tip, Marco: for the evening, it can be something a bit more mature! At 18, that’s usually expected.

A Welcome Remake!
How nice, an old acquaintance is back!

Marc O’Polo Men starts off quite boring with a synthetic grapefruit on an indefinable woody background. It almost didn't make it onto my skin.

But then a very special note emerges - bright green-fresh, mossy and at the same time distinctly masculine - that I had been wanting to smell again for a while. It is the scent of Adidas Adventure, probably the best drugstore fragrance ever released under the Adidas brand. However, Adidas Adventure was discontinued a few years ago, and unfortunately, I also had to take my Adventure off the market; perfumes unfortunately do not last forever.

Only - Marc O’Polo Men is not a cheap drugstore fragrance, but costs around €30 for 40ml. So be it, that is justifiable.

Marc O’Polo Men and Adventure by Adidas are certainly not great perfumes, but they are nice, straightforward, theme-related scents that simply lift your spirits. This is due to the heart note referred to as "apple blossom" at Marc O’Polo. In reality, it is probably some kind of chemical magic. What I particularly like about this still innovative note is that it bridges the distinctive masculinity of the macho perfumes of the 80s and the freshness of a modern sport fragrance. It’s best of both worlds!

I remember Adventure being a bit more straightforward and related to this special scent note, but that may be due to nostalgic reasons. Adventure, as a budget drugstore fragrance, was not a wonder in terms of longevity; however, the longevity of Marc O’Polo Men seems to be somewhat better. One downside is the incomprehensible and off-putting top note, which you can leave behind after just 5 minutes. So please bring a little patience when testing!

Marc O’Polo Men is new and is currently being introduced into Douglas stores, so now everyone can get to know this extremely interesting scent note.

Where to?
The scent doesn't even know where it wants to go. With good intentions, many different well-known and popular fragrance directions have been mixed together, but there is no harmonious interplay. There is the woody and the fresh, the attempt at something cozy-sweet. But nothing holds it all together. The scent falls apart. It really takes a long time to get to the bottom of this fragrance and to smell it. In between, there are good moments and one feels hopeful. Then you take another sniff and can't find it again, nothing substantial. Like several people trying to go through a door, but all hindering each other. Moreover, they aren't even good people, and a villain named Synthetics is in the mix.

With this scent...
... I unfortunately have no image in my mind. This is a scent I would not buy again. I find it unpleasant. Unfortunately, I can't really think of anything positive about this scent.

When applying this scent, the first impression is something citrusy, resinous, and spicy that unfortunately comes off musty in my nose. The floral note of the apple blossom doesn't make it any better. Even the attempt to give the scent a powdery touch with musk and a green aspect with oak moss helps just as little as mixing in something woody. The scent remains musty the entire time. It's actually a shame.

The longevity and sillage are average.

Here we have a scent that can be worn from around 16 years old. It is a scent for warm days. It is best worn during the day. I can't imagine that women would enjoy this.

If you like a citrusy, resinous, spicy scent that unfortunately comes off musty in my nose, this might be right for you. However, it has been discontinued.

Fresh and Spicy
Fresh and spicy is how the good Marc presents itself. I enjoyed wearing this EdT repeatedly about a year ago. For me, it's a lovely scent that might soon find its way back into my small collection. The only downside was that the longevity wasn't very impressive for me.

The scent DNA gives me old man vibes. Wood and spice needed something to balance it out.

Starts like thousands, fresh, lightly sweet, mainstream...the wonderful creamy base makes up for a lot of mediocrity, stylish like the brand!

What should I wear from Marc O'Polo when I wear this scent? It's spicy and woody, but I couldn't say which wood.

Very nice scent. My father's favorite perfume. Does anyone know a good dupe for it?
