Shaving Cream Skin
Big citrusy shaving cream opening — the notes promise mandarin but it’s all lemon-lime for me.
After about 20 minutes, a little mild cardamom and white florals emerge and then quickly recede.
That shaving cream vibe never really leaves though, and combined with the mildly musky amber base, my wrists smell like freshly shaved skin for the next 6-7 hours.
Projection is fairly quiet, and it’s definitely a traditionally masculine coded fragrance.
In the end, although this is a pleasant enough for its genre, it suffers from the same fate as most of Penhaligon’s fragrances: it’s simply not special enough to warrant that eye watering price tag.
