The appeal of weirdness

The opening of this fragrance is weird. Leather and white florals in a very screechy and dissonant fashion. Very unusual. This opening lasts longer that you would expect an only very slowly deteriorates and transitions into something woody-resinous-anis-y. My description of the opening may come across as negative but it really is not. Granted, the opening is very weird but to me, it is not unpleasant at all. I think its originality is what makes it appealing to me as there really is no opening quite like it. And the drydown is absolutely lovely.

Buyers beware, this is no fragrance to blind-buy— it really isn’t for everyone— but try to sample or decant it and see for yourself if you like it.

Forest in your luggage

The other day the base and our husbands entered our modest hut, and I had the feeling that they had their own Black Forest in their luggage.

Woody woods were already spreading in the entrance, and during the greeting it turned out that the couple smelled in unison.

That was by no means too much of a good thing, because alizarin conveys closeness and comfort.

It invites you to settle down and accompanies a cultivated conversation.
But his attitude remains British, - plush and cuddly it doesn't get cuddly.

The aquatic mandarin ensures that the fragrance does not become too dense - and even the flowery parts remain discreet.
Light iris powder is in the air, mixed with transparent oud.
The leather is soft and cuddly - and incense noble but unsacral.
A fragrance to match the blue hour.

My nose swings from the gentleman to the lady - and feels him with the brother-in-law as more harmonious.
For my sensation it is rather a masculine scent - or for self-confident ladies when they perform solo.
In double, he'll score with the Lord.

Nevertheless, I like the noble Brit with the slightly oriental touch - although it also shows off better on my husband than on me.

But one must also be able to treat oneself.
