On a Pilgrimage
She wanders through the forests. One with nature. Trees and bushes, fruits and herbs, the earth: That is her home. Her eyes shine under the amber sun as she stands barefoot on the mossy ground, dancing and laughing. Adorned with a few pine branches and green sweetgrass, she looks forward to each new day. And she merges with her surroundings so that enemies can never find her. She is not tall. Nor loud. And she doesn't need to be any of that. For she is brave, strong, and simply always enchanting.
Yes, I have fallen a little in love with Nori Brandyfoot from the series "The Rings of Power." Markella Kavenagh plays the little nomad so wonderfully. Moss by Perfumer H could be her scent. Connected to nature, green, pure, gentle, and quiet, yet simply always enchanting. In the typical Lyn Harris style. I see that many other reviewers also see an idyllic image of nature here. Moss is so charmingly different from many classic moss fragrances, which I attribute mainly to the gentle and sweet amber that Harris loves to work with. Here in Moss, the spicier notes do come through more towards the base, with a bit of lavender peeking through now and then, but this amber note, which immediately makes me think of Nori, is always present.
What I actually expected here was something quite different. A classic chypre fragrance. But Moss is by no means that. Yes, there are, as is often the case with Lyn's compositions, classic elements, but the scent remains continuously transparent and ethereal, almost a bit mystical, which is why it fits so well into this fantasy world for me. A scent for dreaming, but the quiet tones must definitely appeal, as with many other creations of the perfumer.
A thank you goes to Floyd for the testing opportunity.
