Unique day-to-day scent
Has this been reformulated? I remember this fragrance as a cold, smoky, ‘wet’, flower shop. There was a greyness to it. In my newest purchase the smokiness is less pleasant to me. It’s more like charcoal in a way, kind of dry. This (perceived) difference is especially pronounced in the opening, and separates the smokiness and the green notes that previously were more intertwined. The fragrance is more true to its name now, I suppose, but I can’t help but miss the scent of my old sample.
Regardless, the contrast of the green notes with the smoke is still interesting. I find it unique while remaining an inoffensive/safe wear in any public space. I feel like Lyn Harris creates gentle perfumes that are certainly beautiful and unique but also polite and mass-appealing. This is by no means a negative quality of the fragrance. If anything, it is one of Lyn Harris' specialties that few brands achieve. This fragrance, too, has received many compliments when worn out.
