Not the amber I had hoped for
I love a good amber and this is not it. Absolutely horrible in the initial spray, not like incense smoky, but sitting around a camp fire and smoking cigarettes smoky. To be fair though, I am finding I do not enjoy smoky accords to begin with.

I don’t absolutely hate it though, after about an hour the smoke begins to clear and a sweet amber vanilla remains. It’s light though in that it doesn’t leave you in a creamy cloud, it just sort of fizzles out and fades completely away. Even with ten sprays and suffering what smells like being in a dingy bar back in the 90s, the sweet amber bubble is small and confined. Around hour 3-4 I enjoy the creamy vanilla that evolves and think maybe I could wear this, then it disappears completely so I give a little touch up spray and being the hate cycle all over again.

I’ve had this bottle for a year now and haven’t gotten rid of it because I feel like it could work as a base layer to a super sweet vanilla that’s need to be toned down, or maybe it’s going to oxygenate and the smoke notes will dissipate some. However, even trying it atleast once a month, 12 months in a row, in all seasons, I haven’t found something that works.

Blind buy
Another successful blind buy after his "brother" JC Majestic Woods.
The first 5 minutes were like "omg what did I buy?" (and I got the same first impression also with Majestic Woods), but if you wait a little bit, it's actually very nice and delicate, sweet but absolutely not cloying. I don't regret buying it.
(If you're in Europe and you're interested, I can make 2ml or 5ml decants, because the full bottle is too much for me)

Glistening Amber Juicy Couture
Throw away everything you know about Juicy Couture fragrances and then you can imagine what this particular line smells like because they certainly have none of that typical Juicy Couture DNA. If you usually love Juicy Couture fragrances, there is a very good chance that you won't like this particular line.

Personally, I prefer it over their usual fare which I find sub-par. The fragrances in this line smell elevated, higher quality, more complex, bordering on niche.

I am a big fan of their Majestic Woods fragrance and even though I don't like this one quite as much, I still like it and it's still very good.

On me, the star of the show here is the raspberry. It's not a light, sparkling, effervescent raspberry. It's a deep, dark, syrupy, gothic, brooding raspberry partnered with an equal amount of smoky incense. One does not outshine the other, they work in perfect unison, I get matching doses of each. It's linear, it goes on as raspberry and incense and stays that way throughout. The lasting power is wonderful. It lasts all day and night on my skin and when I wake up in the morning, I can still smell it faintly.

I am really impressed with Juicy Couture for creating this line!

A Juicy for the Colder Days
Juicy Couture polarizes.... Some do not take it seriously or even hate it, while others love it.

What happens when a brand known primarily for its kitschy bottle design and fruity sweetness comes out with an incense fragrance?

I must admit that after the first spray, I checked again to see if it was really a women's fragrance. Yes, it is, but I would rather label it unisex.

Top notes of frangipani and black raspberry are quickly accompanied by incense on my skin. This remains active for a long time, even as the vanilla mixes in and the iris makes a brief appearance. Upon reaching the base, amber dominates (thus living up to its name).

Glistering Amber has nothing of the screaming fruity sweet flagship scents of the brand. It feels very mature, and during a blind test, one could easily guess it as a niche fragrance. There is a certain sweetness, but it is not overwhelming. Incense and amber are the most dominant here.

As many unfortunately complain, the Juicys do not have very long-lasting power (anymore). This is also the case on my skin. Still, be careful with the dosage; otherwise, it may take your breath away, but the longevity will not improve.

A beautiful incense fragrance for the autumn and winter days where you wouldn't expect it.

Very similar to Majestic Woods, which is woodier, this one is fruitier. Similarly synthetic at the end, niche.

Fine raspberry/vanilla/amber combo, I kept trying to think of which scent it reminded me of, now I have it :) It's 24 Gold!

Fruity-smoky amber, sweet, not too heavy or overpowering, smooth all around. The only downside is the longevity, which is terrible for me.

Strong and long-lasting amber vanilla perfume with hints of incense
Definitely has a niche character
Somehow sexy but not quite sure
Unisex!

Very rounded fruity sweet amber, with lovely vanilla notes. A feel-good scent with a pleasant resinous quality. Rather weak longevity & sillage.
