Rough Shell Without Reconciliation Sex
As an introductory word, I must confess: I am not a Rammstein fanboy.
While I once happened to be at a very atmospheric and energetic Rammstein concert, I do not own any of their CDs or fan shirts. However, I do listen to their music from time to time. For example, when I need to concentrate in the office to prepare the VAT return. Or when we go to Aunt Frida's for coffee and cake. Or when I select some atmospheric and relaxing music to kick off my monthly marital duties. Further elaboration on this would be a bit too far-reaching at this point...
I received this fragrance as a prize from a giveaway - many thanks again for that. But since I am not a fanboy, please forgive me if I cannot draw any analogies between this perfume and one or more Rammstein songs or even the band's biography. I will also refrain from quoting lyrics - none come to mind immediately when I sniff this fragrance. Further elaboration on this would be a bit too far-reaching at this point...
The perfume comes in a very plain white box with an equally simple band logo and the name of the fragrance. The bottle is a matte white, unexciting square with a simple band logo. The printed structural formula of cocaine, however, makes my palms sweat with anxiety - due to my lack of understanding of chemistry, my high school promotion was in jeopardy for two consecutive years. Further elaboration on this would be a bit too far-reaching at this point... I am nonetheless positively impressed by the quality of the packaging and the very fine spray nozzle.
The first sniff brings a tear to my eye along with wonder and joy. It starts with everything that could tickle your nose: pepper, incense, nutmeg, and more pepper. In the background, there are some bitter, herbal green notes. After an hour, the pepper leaves the stage, the incense remains and settles on a solid wooden foundation. At some point, the sometimes metallic-sounding sparkling notes fade away, and the wood notes become a bit warmer, but they never lose their rough and bitter charm.
In the first fifteen minutes, the fragrance hits you hard with its intensity, remaining quite strong for the following one to two hours. Only after that does it become more manageable, gentler, and more pleasant for those around you, thus more wearable. The woody accords are even very harmonious and well-balanced overall. After a good eight to ten hours, however, the very last encore is played, and the fragrance fades away indistinctly.
In terms of accords, cocaine is by no means more intense than some niche fragrances that can olfactorily overwhelm you. Nevertheless, it is strong in its expression and rather unconventional for a mainstream drugstore scent. Also, the longevity, sillage, and especially the qualitative impression for a fragrance in this price range are impressive. You can casually take it along without making a mistake... unless you really can't handle the scent notes at all.
Due to its rather dry and strict interpretation, I would attribute cocaine more to men than to women. By the way, it is quite remarkable that my wife can tolerate this scent on me and even likes to smell it on herself! However, she does not want to contest the bottle from me. Consequently, no marital quarrel, no reconciliation sex, no involvement in the rituals mentioned above. Further elaboration on this would also be quite far-reaching at this point...
Buy the fragrance, it is limited, but affordable and quite good.
