Milk Cream Eczema
"The Ritual of Jing" seems to be a gentle remaster of "The Ritual of Dao", which I never got to smell. Therefore, "Jing" started fresh and unspent for me, was allowed to herald my jump into the Rituals hiking pack. A bit sobering, unfortunately. Especially for such a bestseller and crowd pleaser (under old name)...
I often had to consider whether it might be due to my strange "skin chemistry", lack of showering or leftover fragrances previously tested on this skin site - but no, all three points were clearly ticked off beforehand or in general. More likely, I'm just not the "jang" to this "jing". For me, "The Ritual of Jing" is a creamy, milky sandalwood scent that definitely has delicious, introspective, slightly rainforesty and meditative potential, but on my skin it emits an awkward, immature and unpleasant green sourness most of the time that absolutely should have been given a miss. Maybe it's just me, most people like it downright well. Herewith, therefore, only a very mild warning: perhaps not made for unrestricted blind purchases after all...
Flacon: Bed, Bath & Beyond
Sillage: no strength of Rituals
Durability: 5-6 hours - and thus already one of the more durable Rituals...
Conclusion: esoteric, practical, good? For me, rather a milky-faced wellness fragrance that still green behind the ears makes one on India. Blender
