Simply? Simply beautiful!
A fragrance that immediately captivated me.

The scent is really beautifully crafted. A soft, almost sweet neroli, sandalwood, and mimosa. A sweet woody fragrance that is not overly complex.

Unfortunately, we have a typical Rituals problem here. The longevity on different skin types. On my girlfriend, it lasts less than 2 hours. On my skin, it performs really well for 6 hours and only then starts to fade slowly. The sillage is close to the skin.

The bottle is typical of Rituals, simple but beautiful.

I really enjoy wearing this fragrance and it just works well for me. This is not the case for everyone, so the fragrance is definitely not a blind buy.

Flowers maybe. Little inside.
Why did I try this?

From the same company, I have Roi d´Orient, which I find sensationally good.
Yesterday, I was in the Rituals shop to see if they had another good scent.

The answer upfront: No, they do not.

The consultant was nice. Unfortunately, all the available men's fragrances had that typical grandpa aroma, no thanks.

Kindly, the nice lady always recommended exactly what I had pointed out before (yes, exactly that is particularly good and so on).

When nothing fit, we came to Eclat. It was neither with the men nor the women, but under a small spotlight instead. I sprayed it on. First impression: floral-heavy, but then: thin to unremarkable. More feminine than masculine. And that’s how it stayed.
4 hours later, there was nothing left of the scent on my skin. What a pity.
You can easily forget it.

Beautiful, But...
A beautiful, very cozy warm scent. Neroli in such a soft form carried by sandalwood. The fragrance itself doesn't really change but gently oscillates.

The longevity is about 4 hours during which I perceived the scent myself. However, now we come to the main problem. It is only perceived by those in close proximity, meaning I have to hold my arm directly under someone's nose. I myself have occasionally sensed the scent lightly, but I also sprayed it directly and generously on my clothing and body. So for me, it’s more of a lovely cuddle or "going to bed scent".

The bottle itself is really beautiful, even with the cap. However, when removing it, it has unfortunately happened to me several times that I accidentally twisted the spray head off. Super annoying as it caused perfume to spill.

In summary, the scent is not a recommendation for purchase. What a pity...

No scent gaps present.
Just a fully-fledged "simple" composition! These 3 or 4 notes leave nothing lacking for my nose, as everything complements each other. The wood wins the fragrant race, but I love "sandalwood." Above and below - it changes from time to time - lies a bittersweet neroli note, powerful enough to be well perceived.
With the fine mimosa, a subtle floral aspect comes into play - but it nicely arranges itself underneath.
If there is a spice involved, it is most likely pepper. Fabrice Pellegrin's concept works well here. A lot of scent with few ingredients. Fits, sits, has edges and corners, is not TOO pleasing. And above all, it is not "mainstream."
I treated myself to an "original mini" of 10ml today. Maybe when that runs out, there will be a larger bottle...

I have it at home and use it often.

The scent notes listed here don't mean much to me. When I think there should be Neroli in it, I can believe it, but I wouldn't have come to that conclusion myself. Neroli generally smells warm to me but also mossy fresh-cool. However, there is definitely nothing cool-fresh about this. I can imagine that the part of Neroli here acts in a way that "charmingly musty immediately forces me slightly dark to the ground." On the Rituals site, it says that Neroli is the base, but... It could be that Neroli is technically the base here, but for me, it is completely hidden by a sweet note, so I am not aware of it.
Sandalwood is probably the woody slightly "bee-world-like" undertone that persists until the end. However, I usually know sandalwood notes to be creamier-soft and more recognizable.
All the notes seem to be glued together.

But let's start again,
in the top phase, I smell something that resembles red pepper. And consistently something oily-buttery mood-dampening. I only wear the perfume when I am sure that it is pleasant for me to smell buttery for these few hours.

I don't know why, but in my imagination, I always see a serious-diligent honeybee going about its daily tasks when I smell L'Eclat by Rituals. Or a strict well-groomed teacher with a short gray haircut, whose home decor follows strict aesthetic rules. The scent also reminds me a bit of onion tea with honey, which I once had as medicine as a child, and I can imagine it smells like this when someone exhales their breath after such a drink. Additionally, it triggers an association with mammals and milk for me. I already mentioned butter. Overall, L'Eclat partly reminds me of body scents that one subtly perceives when meeting someone. Not meant in a disgusting way, but neutrally as a hint!

Statistically speaking, I believe it fits best with older ladies who appreciate a subtly-elegant quality. Among younger people, perhaps health food store visitors, yoginis, and "herb witches" in sheep wool, for whom wooden furniture and pretty tea packages mean something. Maybe also to milk lovers.

Another single-note graft with empty promises of "smells different based on your skin chemistry". Cashmeran if I had to guess. Bored now.

If you're searching for a clean floral scent that doesn't lean too feminine and not too woody, then this is right for you. Not a special com

A diffuse floral blend with a very synthetic base, but it stays in the background, without significance. Iso Super...? Strange scent.

I tested it in the shop today. Bright, friendly floral scent with a synthetic woody base that seems to be a dealbreaker here...

Fresh-floral neroli charmer, with a beautifully bright mimosa heart, sandalwood-spicy finish. Unisex? Definitely feminine for me!

Noble summer scent that smells like a mix of sunshine, expensive sunscreen/oil, and a few flowers. A bit of vacation on the go.

Very pleasantly soft woody-sweet and definitely unisex.
Great for layering since it's very simple, but also nice to wear on its own.

With sandalwood at its heart, neroli in the base - there's a little mimosa in there too.
But the wood takes the lead - it makes neroli proud! GOOD

Resinous-creamy, woody-oily. Discreet floral sweetness and Indian spiciness. Smooth, elegant, and captivating. Feels clean.
