I always thought of Roger & Gallet as a producer of better soaps for a more mature audience in the mid-price range.
By chance, I stumbled upon R&G L'Homme Sport, a nice surprise. The bottle is classically simple, although the plastic cap doesn't look very high-quality. But that's not what it's about.
What the "Sport" in the name is supposed to mean - no idea, probably to convey some kind of lifestyle. R&G L'HS, however, has nothing at all of the penetrating gym locker room smells.
On the contrary - it's finely crafted, fresh, and pleasantly scented, without being overpowering. Neither aquatic nor too citrusy. A bit of grapefruit, tea, and pink pepper is just right. At the same time, it's balsamic and woody enough to give it substance.
Also suitable for the office or daytime wear, discreet (at least with recommendable moderate application), yet interesting.
Thanks to my son with a fine nose, who doesn't hold back, I received spontaneous positive feedback.
