Fresh, woody, orange
This opens with mandarin, verbena and basil, very fresh and green. The heart adds orange blossom and neroli, and the base is an excellent mix of rosewood and cedar, warmed up with amber. It's a wonderful orange fragrance with an underlying green herbal note in a soft woody base. Longevity is good, about 5 to 6 hours on me, sillage is moderate.

Just try the scented dry oil!
I tested many ways this unisex fragrance and I must say that the alcoholic perfume is more bitter and develops mainly the Woody and "masculin "notes . I own the dry oil and this formulation is smoother and better balanced, pleasant and more "feminin". Anyway, Bois d'orange is a very good product at a quite affordable price. Maybe isn't so longlasting, but is perfect to wear as daily scent because is very discrete.

Andalusian Garden
That is what is conveyed when you smell this fragrance.
But first of all, can you buy fragrances in a pharmacy? I discovered the Roger & Gallet scents today in my regular pharmacy and headed straight for them, completely forgetting that I actually wanted something for my cough.
Of course, you can buy fragrances in pharmacies; they almost have their origin there, so, back to the roots.

According to the manufacturer's description, the fragrance conveys the feeling of a magical scent journey in an Andalusian garden in the shade of orange trees and is supposed to be invigorating.
For my part, I do not feel invigorated by neroli. It puts me in a distinctly relaxed mood. I breathe deeper, no longer so hurriedly into my upper abdomen. I look around calmly and stroll through the area without haste or rush.

Neroli is clearly the boss here. And basil, which one imagines to be very green, I personally cannot detect. Perhaps it takes away the overly orangey note from the top note. But it doesn’t matter, orange with a slightly earthy undertone prevails. And how beautiful that is! The woody base notes, cedar is perfect for neroli, complement the orange grove excellently.

A great monothematic scent that shows surprising longevity for an EdC. For summer, when you have nothing special planned, it’s a lovely thing.

limited freshness
I usually like citrus notes, at least as a top note.
Sometimes they are mixed with other components, which changes their character. Successful blends with other components, preferably flowers or spices, often result in a captivating top note that sometimes surprisingly extends deep into the fragrance development. Some perfumes are even crafted so that the citrus notes reach far into the base.

Bois d'Orange is one of those examples where this blend has not turned out well.
For me, the mixture with the spices and especially an intrusive neroli is unpleasant. It really smells very orangey and fresh, but it also has a scratchy-intrusive undertone.

Room air fresheners, mostly found in the ceramic sections, often emit a similar scratchy intrusive scent.

Only when the fragrance runs out of steam, which takes quite a long time for a fresh citrus scent, do the softer and woodier tones come to the nose. However, since the scent remains close to the body overall, I have to sniff quite closely.

What a pity, Bois d'Orange just doesn't work for me.

Also for the gentlemen who are inclined to take care of their skin with something other than, for example, Nivea for men
There is a body care oil for this fragrance, it's called Huile sublime bois d'orange. The scent is orangey, woody, and slightly herbal, also well-suited for men
. Not as herbal as summer basics from sans soucis, softer and
milder. I find it quite delicious, and I'm usually not a fan of fruity scents.
This way, you can combine body care with a hint of orange fragrance, especially
in summer. The oil is relatively expensive compared to conventional body lotions, but also very economical.
Available for testing in pharmacies.
The Roger and Gallet fragrances are all quite herbal and not so bad
for their price.
Since I find it almost too woody for women, I personally
give it only 80 percent.

More Fleur than Bois. A lovely, simple orange blossom without any of the fuss of natural ingredients.

Neroli presents itself in a lively way here. Mandarin in the top note is well done, base is slightly woody. After all, it's by Dominique Ropion...

Mandarin orange on creamy soft wood. Good quality, pleasant, rounded, nice, in familiar tracks. European "Owari".

Deliciously delicate blooming orange, juicy and ripe, rests on fluffy wood.
Barely any stale neroli, but a long-lasting warm freshness!

Herb-bitter orange zest + a pinch of blossom + wood + citral = fresh-rough, not sweet, strong sillage + longevity

Fresh, tangy mandarins with zesty neroli + gentle orange blossom on a soft + woody base. Starts cool, warmer in the dry down. It's okay. H/S mediocre.

English Chivers Olde Orange Marmalade diluted in perfume concentrate. Fruity-fresh, slightly bitter sweetness with woody nuances. Cooling.
