From the Bargain Table to the VIP Lounge
After being so captivated by the classic Dali Femme, I was also intrigued by Itislove. Although I briefly tested it once and attentively read the other comments, I STILL bought it! It couldn't be helped, given the bargain price.
However, it almost ended up in the Souk. Because at first sniff, I wasn't convinced, and neither was I on the second and third. When I read "scratchy" in other comments, I usually get warned, as it often behaves similarly on my skin. And so Itislove (EDT) initially comes across that way for me: scratchy, rough, bitter, sour, unappealing. Not exactly graceful. Is this supposed to be love??? After the scratchiness faded a bit, it starts to bloom nicely in the heart note. Oh great, that's also not really my thing. Nevertheless, it has something that wouldn't let me go, and so it didn't end up in the Souk but back in my chest. From which I keep pulling it out again. So, today I tested it extensively once more. The same game, but as before, it's always the base that knocks me out. Because now Itislove shows its most beautiful side: not sweet, soft, only delicately floral, fresh, and wonderfully fragrant!
Itislove is quirky and has character; it's not a scent that tries to ingratiate itself. It doesn't pander, it shows you right from the first spray who’s in charge! It demands patience, takes a while to "warm up," and doesn't throw itself at everyone right away. But those who are patient will be rewarded in the base with a fantastic scent far from the mainstream that lasts a good four hours. For me, this is an absolute spring and summer fragrance, and I am already very curious to see how it will perform then.
And so Itislove now stands neither in the Souk nor in my chest, but already in the bathroom, the VIP lounge, where only my current personal fragrance stars are allowed to stay, and we are both now waiting together for spring.
Isitlove? Yes, indeed. Even if with a delay.
