A bold Oriental Fougere
This perfume is a bold Oriental Fougere built upon the foundation of a "burning" heart. It begins with the bright (almost medicinal) pop of mandarin and rum, and then settles into a resinous heart of deep woodiness.
The main note in Palindrome III is Cistus Ladanifer (Labdanum). This gives the scent a smokey, balsamic quality that is both very old and very refined. Many "churchy" incense-style fragrances become too dry; however, this one has a feeling of warmth and "life" with the addition of the spiciness from black pepper, and the silky sweetness from osmanthus.
