Did the Impossible, Made me like Coconut

I can't stand fake coconut. But apparently if you mix it with tuberose & ylang-ylang I'll like it. Rio Radiance is the first of the Sol de Janeiro brand that I've purchased, and I never would have expected to enjoy this so much.

All the scents are very gourmand, tasty, wanna eat it, this is way more floral. This is a bright coconut milk and creamy white floral that dries down to ambery vanilla. I'd say it lasts well for a fragrance mist, as I could still smell it close to my skin 3-4 hours after applying. Whereas B&BW mists tend to disappear quickly unless you douse your clothes.

My one gripe is the bottle. The way the lid snaps on and off takes a lot of effort, but I suppose that's a plus for those that are aggressively throwing this into overnight bags.

Great starter white floral!!

If you are on the fence about white florals or have never really experienced a heady tuberose scent, try this (or better yet, the body cream.) It smells lush and sweet and creamy, and the tuberose is there but it isn't screeching, as it sometimes does. It is a body spray, so it won't last forever, but it is on par with Sol's other body sprays--IMHO they last a lot longer than other body sprays, and nearly as long as some weaker EdTs.

Chaotic Beach Scent

I know people love this scent, but I’ve never liked it. I put it on the other day and remembered exactly why that is. There is an element of coconut sunscreen, a nice almost metallic white floral. Yet there is also relish and celery and a musty closet smell to me. Something about it reminds me of air freshener and cleaner (maybe coconut Clorox wipes?). I know there is something lovely about this, but I don’t relish the opportunity to wear this often, if at all. As a skin scent, around 8 hours later (I went to sleep with this on), it smells significantly better on the wrist.
It’s not bad, but confusing.

Carefree Summer of My Youth

It is summer 2003, I am 12 years old. Before heading to the home whirlpool for a cool down, I take a shower.
As shower gel, I use Duschdas Sparkling Sun with a sunflower print, the yellow bottle still has the classic cap to open.
In my youthful naivety, I always thought this is how sunflowers must smell, now it’s probably more the Ylang Ylang that I detect in Rio Radiance.
It smells of good mood, sun, sunscreen, coconut, and flowers.
Meanwhile, "Vamos a la playa" thunders from the speakers.
Quickly, we sip on some non-alcoholic Pina Colada.

Rio Radiance was, like the others I have from Sol de Janeiro, a blind buy and I was once again NOT disappointed.
I’m glad that the sweet-vanilla note doesn’t come through. I wanted something floral-milky.

Longevity on the skin is quite good, definitely okay for a body spray (so far only Cheirosa 71 is better).
I also ordered the body lotion right away; when I wear both together, I achieve good longevity.

Rio Radiance transports me back to my youth when everything was so wonderfully carefree and summer felt like it lasted for months.

Sunscreen Scent

Well-groomed sunscreen scent that also fits perfectly in autumn and winter.

It has incredibly good longevity and sillage; I can smell it on me all day long.
Sometimes better than some expensive fragrances I own.

It's good to wear in the office, not intrusive and very pleasant.

However, for going out, I would choose something more exclusive for the evening.

Still absolutely recommendable, like almost all body mists from Sol de Janeiro.
