Coconut Flavor with Wood or Coconut Mat

Actually got a tester... no creamy coconut, something woody is very present, for me rather artificial flavor drops and coconut shell, okay for layering, separately it somehow smells cheap, I can't sugarcoat it. Nice attempt but probably apple and salted caramel were just too much of a good thing. It also develops a slightly sour note, which can be unpleasant in high temperatures. Or do you want to smell like coconut milk in the fermentation process?

Caramel Apple with Coconut Sprinkles

Add a few flowers and woods, and it's ready:

One of the most beautiful summer fragrances I've come across lately.
It starts with apple, jasmine, and coconut milk, which are quite noticeable.
Then freesia, salted caramel, and teak wood join in, with the salted caramel dominating the heart.
In the base, coconut, tonka bean, vanilla, and cedarwood come together to round off the scent.

I would recommend it for warm weather, so it can really shine.
I like it a lot and I'm looking forward to summer when wearing it will be worthwhile.

I would have liked it

I was browsing through the perfume shelf at my local drugstore the other day and I’m always curious. I don’t shy away from bending down, as I’ve often discovered great things that way. However, I’ve never really been able to appreciate the brand Spirit. But I always give every brand another chance.

So I ventured to try Creamy of Coconut. No musk listed, which I was glad about. Boldly sprayed it on my skin in the summer heat. Not bad, but shortly after, a piercing cloud reminiscent of Mr. Clean rose up. It could have been another brand.

Uff... I strolled along the decorative cosmetics and the smell didn’t weaken, but rather intensified. It couldn’t have been the tester, as it was new. What was going on? Did apple, jasmine, and freesia not get along with coconut milk? No idea, but the scent continued in a persistently piercing manner.

Suddenly, two saleswomen were near me. Both were sniffing around, searching for spilled cleaning product. Then came the friendly question to me if I had something leaking. But that wasn’t possible with the small handbag I had with me.

I quickly made myself scarce, but unfortunately, the scent did not. It stubbornly lingered and was replaced or complemented by an artificial vanilla mishmash. At home, my better half asked why I still wanted to clean. I had until the next day. Oops...

Now I tried everything to get rid of the scent. It didn’t work. Longevity was 12 hours and more. Evening came, and as a bonus, I got a migraine from the scent. Great, so that was a no-go for me. I had promised myself so much from it. Even at the bargain price, it wasn’t worth the effort.

My Favorite Spirit

I was finally able to get my hands on this fragrance today, and it is now officially my favorite scent from the Spirit brand... and that’s despite the fact that I don’t really like coconut. But it smells really pleasant. You immediately get the coconut, but it’s well-balanced. The scent has a bit of an original Dove care product vibe, a certain creaminess/cleanliness. Still, it leans towards the gourmand direction, but without being too synthetic or cloyingly sweet - I really like that! In the past, I’ve often had bad experiences with coconut scents or body sprays, as they often made me feel nauseous. Fortunately, the Creamy Coconut doesn’t trigger that for me. I can imagine that it would layer well with the Sol De Janeiro 87 (, my favorite from SDJ). Both fragrances have a slightly refined, creamy sunscreen quality. Perfect for summer!

Coconut always sells well. This one is quite nice, with Tonka and vanilla rounding it off. Not worse than more expensive products.
