James Bond aka Acqua di Parma Colonia
Why 007 ... some might be asking now ... and why the hell Acqua di Parma Colonia?
To explain this, I need to elaborate a bit.
When I received a sample of Acqua di Parma Colonia, I fell in love with this scent immediately.
I don’t know if you knew this ...
No, let me put it differently, I don’t know if anyone knows, but I usually associate scents with all sorts of things, but rarely with the listed notes of the pyramid.
With the Colonia, James Bond immediately came to mind.
Not Daniel Craig, no... Sean Connery or maybe even Roger Moore.
Those old gentleman agents.
And here I finally come to Esperidi Water.
Its opening with the naturally scented lemon and fresh orange is simply wonderfully refreshing.
Quickly, that creaminess I cherish so much comes in.
But the lemon/orange keeps coming through, longer than with the Colonia, in my opinion.
In the drydown, it is for me 1:1 the aforementioned classic from Acqua di Parma.
Whether it's coincidence or if someone got too inspired here ... who knows.
However, the similarity is indeed enormous. If that doesn’t bother you and if you like the Colonia, you can definitely give this one a sniff.
In terms of presentation, Esperidi Water is superior to the Colonia, in my humble opinion.
The lovely box with a little background story, a map of the old trade routes, and a very beautiful bottle... fits perfectly.
I then spray myself generously and think... today I’ll watch "From Russia with Love"
And don’t forget... shaken, not stirred ;-)
