Summer Days and Winter Evenings

Today I was looking for a friendly, refreshing scent that would still fit into winter.

That's when I immediately perked up at the mention of Tommy Girl Brights.

The magic words were balsam fir, tea, and honey.
Three components that I always enjoy, and which have been excellently combined in Brights.

But let's start with the opening:
Bergamot and lemon are lively and fresh, but are softened and calmed by the deep lavender.
The jasmine shines bright and elegant, further emphasized by the exquisite mimosa.
Up to this point, it's a fragrance that can also be worn well in summer.

But then comes the second chapter, which takes place in winter.

The iris is profound and dark, representing long winter evenings.
The saffron reminds one of delicious pastries enjoyed under the Christmas tree, paired with a hot cup of tea with honey savored leisurely.

Candlelight flickers and the fireplace radiates cozy warmth.
The scent harmonizes beautifully with this.

Brights has surprised me because it truly has two sides that do not clash.

For me, a successful year-round fragrance - depending on the mood.

Floral Tea Scent with Saffron - Pleasant but Not Stunning.

This is my first perfume comment on Parfumo :)

Bottle:
The bottle is made of transparent glass, triangular in cross-section, and fits well in the hand. The liquid is slightly pink, and the lettering is in pink. The cap is silver-colored and resembles a jeans button, which fits well with the American fashion of the brand "Tommy Hilfiger".

Scent:
The opening is citrusy with bergamot and lemon. Soon, flowers join in. In the base, the tea - I assume rooibos tea - becomes quite prominent and is underscored by the slightly muted bitter aroma of saffron. Saffron as a fragrance component in perfumes was previously unknown to me, but I find it exciting and harmonious with the tea.

The reference to the classic Tommy Girl, also a tea scent, is noticeable, although Tommy Girl is much fruitier and less reserved. Overall, Tommy Girl Brights reminds me of the unisex scent "Eau Parfumée au Thé Rouge" by Bulgari, which is unfortunately no longer produced, but it feels more feminine due to the flowers.

Longevity:
The longevity is moderate and does not reach that of Tommy Girl.

Overall Impression:
In my opinion, Tommy Girl Brights is a floral tea scent, initially citrusy-floral, with a bitter base. Nice for daytime in spring or summer for young women up to their mid-20s. Pleasant, but not stunning. A bit too tame for me.

Successful Blind Purchase

Saturday, just before 6 PM, a tiring day at the seminar is behind me and I'm craving a bit of beauty indulgence. So, I trot into the nearest drugstore and sniff my way through. And what does my tired eye spot? A variant of Tommy Girl, which I have never had but know well and quite like as a tea scent in the broadest sense. The box was beautiful, orange-pink stripes, and the price unbeatable. So, straight into the basket with it and rushed home.
The first spray: Uah, what is that lemon doing teamed up with the quite prominent bergamot! Shoo shoo, go away! Well, if you look at it that way, yes, it is also a tea scent, and I really like those ,-). Bergamot also in the cup. Kindly, the flavored tea dissipates quite quickly. And an elegant, fine, unobtrusive floral scent spreads out. I am delighted. And even more delighted when the heartwarming base with lots of musk comes through. You can really wear this all year round, Tommy's mood lifter, an extreme all-rounder. And I might even place it in the unisex corner with its musk content, but only for brave men ;-). All in all, I am already on the lookout for the next special offer at my trusted drugstore. A bright little head, this scent.

surprisingly good

Believe it or not, I detected the notes of tea and honey blind from this fragrance (yeah) :D

A real surprise among many indistinguishable summer light versions of Tommy Girl.

However, the pink color of the fragrance is only partially fitting and somewhat misleading.

Because the scent is not ONLY fruity-juicy, but also herb-fresh.

A truly delicious green tea with honey note dominates the entire scent progression.

I also think I perceive a mint-lime note, like a mojito cocktail.

I can also convince myself of a few currants and, if you like, some flowers, but the predominant note is sweet green tea - mmmh delicious.

While it doesn't have much in common with the original version of Tommy Girl (aside from the delicious freshness and good wearability for all occasions), it is finally a successful refreshment in the mainstream world.

Tea with Honey

~ Inspiration ~
After buying "Tommy Girl Summer 2013" last year, I was also curious about the new fragrance.

~ Bottle ~
The triangular shape has been retained like in all other Tommy Girls. The delicate pink liquid promises a floral scent.

~ Fragrance ~
Upon spraying, it unexpectedly comes off quite sour with bergamot, lemons, and black currants. However, this fades relatively quickly, making way for gentle, floral components like jasmine, May roses, and iris. The slightly spicy-bitter base of saffron, fir balsam, oak moss, and musk prevents it from becoming too sweet - especially the tea-honey note comes through beautifully.

~ Longevity ~
On my skin, it lasts only about 3-4 hours (a bit longer on clothing and hair). The sillage is very close to the body, allowing for several sprays to be used comfortably.

~ Occasion ~
An unobtrusive, fresh scent for spring and summer, which can also be worn well to work.

~ Conclusion ~
A nice variant that smells of tea and honey. To me, it is too bland, weak, and unsweet.
