Bomb-proof longevity of a wonderful fragrance
A fragrance has actually managed to leave me speechless.
As is not too uncommon, I spent another one of my afternoons at Müller, wandering through the perfume department. I know almost every fragrance by now, but I rarely spray them anymore. Too often I end up feeling nauseous during the process and regret testing them on my skin.
I have my favorite bottles at home, and I won’t find a new favorite anytime soon. I often have something to complain about. Sometimes it’s the price, then the scent, or - most often - the lack of longevity.
Almost casually, I sprayed two Tommy fragrances on myself - the classic Tommy scent on one wrist and the “forever” version on the other.
What can I say, it’s now 9:30 PM and the only little spritz was over 7 hours ago and it’s STILL RADIANT. I don’t even need to go to my wrist; the scent surrounds me. I want to emphasize again that this is “merely” an Eau de Toilette - usually, I avoid these because even with the more concentrated version of Eau de Parfum, I am often disappointed by the longevity.
- I am happy. Very much so. The scent smells to me well-groomed, clean, unique, not drugstore-like, not too scratchy - synthetic, softly-happy-wonderful, like well-washed bed linen, freshly ironed clothes, like the morning of a sunny spring day with butterflies and sparkling water - simply everything that is *beautiful*.
Just like the male version of my boyfriend. The male Tommy scent also smells uniquely and not mainstream at all. I love love love them.
On the other hand, the classic Tommy scent did not convince me. It has that typical drugstore scent note that simply doesn’t give me any special feeling. All the more beautiful that we were enriched with this version :-)
