Dior Sauvage EDT clone.
Ok, so I heard of this on a review and had to try it. I was very surprised. I sprayed Dior Sauvage on one hand and UDV Star on my other hand. I could honestly not tell the difference, the notes were too similar to my nose. Maybe to the distinguished noses out there, they can tell, but I cannot.
The burst of bergamot overwhelmed just like Dior Sauvage, along with the Mandarin, lavender, slight peppery effect, and the sage and patchouli. I've tried UDV Star too many times with the same effects. Strong, long lasting about 10 hours, starts heavy sillage for about 2.5 hours, then moderate the rest of the way. I suffered nose fatigue, allowed fresh air into the area, and there it was again. It's staying power is without a doubt better than 95 percent of the junk out there today and at less than 25 percent of the cost. For $25 dollars for a 3.4oz bottle, you can't beat it and for an EDT, who would've thought??? Especially today's wussy fragrance makers with the exception of precious few like Guerlain.
As for the weather aspects, I'd say this is a cooler weather scent, maybe cool summer too. It's crisp like Sauvage, bright and fresh. Because of this, it's easily recognized. So, there's no big surprises here, just tell everyone what it is and they'll be surprised it's not Dior. So here's my results below...
