caramel custard

I was really pleasantly surprised by this! I can't remember how much I paid for it, but it wasn't much. I figured what's the harm in another little gourmand treat. Now it's one of the only vanillas I reach for. This is less of a vanilla caramel to me, and more of a flan or an egg custard! But don't be offput by the mention of egg! It's still kind of synthetic smelling, but not in an alcoholic or plasticky way. I tend to spray it on sweaters or wear it as a bed scent!

Unisex Sweet Vanilla Bomb

I saw this at a DM store, it was the last bottle and I was curious, it is a 21% oil concentration and I paid the astounding price of 5.50 euros for 50 ml.

The smell is very sweet, caramel + vanilla bomb, it lasts 6 hours on me, can't say much about sillage and projection though.

It might be feminine for most people but I'd say a confident man might be able to pull this off, I really like the smell myself and vanilla is one of the most appreciated notes in perfumery by both genders.

Overall a solid 8/10 to me.

Great Gourmand for just over €5

Continuing with my reviews suitable for winter and currently also snow in many regions with a sweet gourmand. This one costs just over €5 for 50ml and is thus a great low-budget fragrance for women and gourmand fans. Since this one has no reviews yet, I think it deserves one, especially due to this great price-performance ratio. The brand Ulric de Varens is actually a solid brand that offers good low-budget fragrances in a drugstore style. Of course, nothing with a decadent appearance, neither visually nor in terms of scent, but it is successful if you are not too demanding. This Sweet Vanilla Caramel is officially a women's fragrance where the name says it all. Vanilla & caramel are already two notes that stand out in this scent, but coconut is also present. The coconut makes this fragrance wearable for the rest of the year with its light tropical vibes. Overall, it is certainly a very sweet scent that will not appeal to everyone, at least for personal wear.

The bottle is extremely cheap, and the packaging fits the price. The packaging looks like a pack of caramel candies, and the bottle is also kept very simple. But at this price, you can overlook that, making this fragrance worth it for the price.
The scent consists of simply constructed notes, and in this combination, the creation is nothing groundbreaking; however, the fragrance convinces with a not too complex DNA. You cannot smell the price here, even though there are much better options in the low-budget range. The scent consists of vanilla and caramel, with coconut appearing early on. Even though the notes suggest a very heavy fragrance, it is somewhat tropical and lighter due to the coconut. Syrup, toffee, and a lot of sugary sweetness provide a not too sticky gourmand sweetness. The base of clean musk and a creamy-sweet note from tonka and vanilla can convince, but they are also quite ordinary. Overall, nothing particularly special, but for the price, you can't go wrong. Overall, a fragrance that is versatile due to this light coconut note and can also work quite well in everyday life.
Performance is in the medium range for a gourmand fragrance. The longevity is 5-6 hours, possibly a bit longer up close. The sillage is also rather pleasant and never too much.

Overall, a great mix of gourmand & coconut with a convincing price-performance ratio. The fragrance has a tough time, as there is a large selection of good gourmands even in the low-budget range. Nevertheless, this Sweet Vanilla Caramel deserves a positive review.
