Somehow you have something, but somehow you don't completely captivate me

Ocean The Rive smells quite good, but it doesn't really manage to grab me. I get a creamy, slightly sweet sea breeze with a hint of basil and a very subtle floral twist.

The scent starts directly with this perceived sea breeze. Something like salty sea air wafts around you. This impression is supported by a creamy quality. The fragrance has a certain sweetness that can definitely be traced back to the vanilla. It somehow already has something vanilla-like in this phase. I also get this slight basil note. Interesting and a really cool twist! Especially because this note is also subtly integrated.

As the scent develops, it becomes creamier in my opinion. This sea air still feels present and lingers for quite a while! I also think I can still perceive very subtle floral hints.
The vanilla note is now noticeably more intense, but never too intense. Additionally, the scent definitely has a shower gel character.
But it's really a cool shower gel!

Nevertheless, the fragrance doesn't manage to completely captivate me. But that's always a matter of personal taste.

I find the longevity to be really good. The scent lasts a good nine hours on my skin.
With the sillage, I felt that it struggles a bit more.
In other words, I have a different perception than some others who have already tested this fragrance.

All in all, you should still test the scent and form your own opinion.

A Ride Along the Beach Coast

Ocean the Rive is a fragrance that immediately stands out. When you smell it for the first time, you feel like you are standing by the sea. The air is fresh, clear, and a bit salty. At the same time, the scent also reminds you of a green forest after the rain. This blend of freshness and green nature makes it special.

The fragrance starts with a fresh, almost cool opening. Perhaps it’s citrus notes or something aquatic.

After a short time, it becomes a bit softer and greener, without becoming heavy. It smells pure, high-quality, and very pleasant. It’s like clean skin after a shower, but more refined.

What really makes this fragrance strong is the sillage. When you wear it, you leave a noticeable scent trail. People around you immediately notice it even if you have already left the room. Still, it doesn’t come across as intrusive, but rather very present and elegant.

The longevity is also impressive. You spray it on in the morning, and by evening it is still pleasant to smell. For a fresh fragrance, that’s quite rare.

All in all, one of my favorite scents for summer.

A creamy-fresh sea breeze with a sweet base: Good? Yes! Worth going crazy over? Absolutely not.

Ocean The Rive was one of the fragrances that was "announced" early in the year, and after some successes with Beverly Hills Exclusive, Crush On Me, etc., the brand has certainly gained a good standing in the community; many were naturally very curious about this fragrance. The first reviews were also very positive about this scent and quickly caught my attention.

Thanks to a nice Parfumo, I got my hands on a bottle and must say: Yes, the scent is good, it captures the idea very well... but it’s not so extreme that it drives you crazy. What’s the reason for that? Let's get into it!

- At the beginning, the citrus hits with grapefruit/bergamot and mandarin, but not the usual freshness like in "Le Gemme - Tygar | Bvlgari", rather underpinned by this herbal note of basil, but mainly driven by an aquatic accord. This herbal, slightly sweet feeling could also come from chamomile, but it’s not distinguishable in that way. It is absolutely not comparable to Megamare, but it has this "sea breeze" accord and already smells oceanic. Very quickly, this creamy undertone emerges in the opening after a few minutes.

- The blast of citrus fades quickly, leaving this fresh, oceanic feeling, which now becomes noticeably creamier and sweeter. The combination is already very exciting and beautiful, but for me, as a supposed "freshie," it becomes almost too heavy. Oceanic scents alone are not easy to wear for many people, and the combination with this vanilla sweetness as a base can be off-putting for many. In the air, it smells fantastic to me even as it develops further, but I have received mixed feedback on that; some love it, while others do not. Gradually, a bit of amber joins in, a minimal resinous quality.

- Longevity and projection are actually very good for this type of DNA; you definitely can't complain about longevity; the projection is good compared to other scents in the DNA, but relatively average to the house itself, leaning towards the upper third. The house is known for performance, but hey, it's absolutely not a problem; for any average person, the scent should be a "hit." For me, hits are something different than for many :)

Overall, the fragrance then culminates in a beautiful oceanic-vanilla direction carried by a musk-amber cloud. Yes, it's nice for me and creatively executed enough, but it's not like I would go crazy over this scent. It simply lacks refinement here and there; I think the fragrance is well-crafted, but you can tell that the fragrance house generally tends to release crowd-pleasers rather than focusing on olfactory fine art. Transitions and the dosage of individual ingredients are just suboptimally balanced for my taste, as there are simply "better balanced experiences" for the nose.

Well, in summary: definitely test it beforehand and don’t buy into the hype.

Unique luxury Ocean the Rive

Hello everyone, the scent is very intense and fresh at the opening.
It can be compared to a zesty mandarin being peeled.
In the dry down, it has a floral and salty character, comparable to a sea breeze.
After a few hours, you can perceive the basil and bergamot again.

Love at the Third Sniff

Initially, I got a sample that I also picked up at the souk. Since the fragrance is not cheap, there was only one person offering a decant.

At first, it was very citrusy and sharp, which initially put me off, but I kept looking forward to that unique and creamy sillage that smelled so delicious and fresh. Ocean the Rive captures it perfectly because it reminds me of the beach and sunshine. In the end, I get a touch of lemon cake, wonderful.
