A trip along the beach coast

Ocean the Rive is a fragrance that immediately catches the eye. When you smell it for the first time, you feel like you're standing by the sea. The air is fresh, clear and a little salty. At the same time, the fragrance is also reminiscent of a green forest after the rain. This mixture of freshness and green nature makes it special.

The fragrance starts with a fresh, almost cool opening. Perhaps citrus notes or something aquatic.

After a short time, it becomes a little softer and greener without becoming heavy. It smells pure, high-quality and very pleasant. It's like clean skin after a shower, but more sophisticated.

What makes this fragrance really strong is the sillage. When you wear it, you leave a clear scent trail. People around you notice it immediately, even if you have already left the room. Nevertheless, it is not intrusive, but simply very present and classy.

The durability is also impressive. You spray it on in the morning and you can still smell it in the evening. This is rather rare for a fresh fragrance.

All in all one of my favorite fragrances for the summer.

A creamy, fresh sea breeze with a sweet base: good? Yes! To go crazy? Absolutely not.

Ocean The Rive | Unique'e Luxury" was one of the fragrances that was "announced" early in the year and after several successes with Beverly Hills Exclusive, Crush On Me etc., the brand naturally gained a good standing in the community. naturally, the brand has gained a good standing in the community, so many people were all the more excited about this fragrance. The first reviews were also very good and quickly made me aware of this fragrance.

Thanks to a nice perfumist, I got my hands on a bottle and I have to say: yes, the fragrance is good, it captures the idea very well... but the fragrance is not that extreme for "going crazy". Why is that? Let's get into it!

- At the beginning, the citrus hits with the grapefruit/bergamot and mandarin, but not the usual freshness as in Le Gemme - Tygar, but underpinned with this herbaceous note of basil, but mainly driven by an aquatic accord. This herbaceous, slightly sweet feeling could of course also come from the chamomile, but it is not distinguishable in this way. It is absolutely not comparable to Megamare, but it has this "sea breeze" accord and already smells oceanic. This creamy undertone also comes up very quickly in the opening after a few minutes.

- The blast of citrus quickly fades and this fresh, oceanic feeling remains, which now becomes much creamier and sweeter. The combination is very exciting and beautiful, but for me it is almost too heavy for a supposed "freshie". Oceanic fragrances alone are not easy to wear for many people, and the combination with this vanilla-like sweetness as a base can be off-putting for many. In the air, it smells fantastic to me, even as it progresses, but I have received mixed feedback; some just love it, others don't. Gradually, a little amber joins in, a minimal resinousness.

- Longevity and projection are actually very good for the type of DNA, you definitely can't complain; the projection is good compared to other fragrances in the DNA, but rather mediocre to upper third compared to the house itself. The house is rather known for performance, but hey, absolutely not bad, for any normal person the fragrance should be a "board". For me, boards are just something different than for many :)

Overall, the fragrance then leads into a beautiful oceanic-vanilla direction carried by a musky-amber cloud. Yes, it's nice for me and creative enough, but it's not like I'm going crazy over the fragrance. It simply lacks sophistication here and there; I think the fragrance is well crafted, but you can tell that the fragrance house generally tends to release crushers rather than focusing on olfactory finesse. The transitions and dosage of individual ingredients are simply suboptimal for my palate, there are simply "better coordinated experiences" for the nose.

Well, to summarize: definitely test in advance and don't buy the hype.

Somehow you have something, but somehow you don't completely captivate me

Ocean The Rive smells quite good, but doesn't really manage to pick me up. I get a creamy, slightly sweet sea breeze with a hint of basil and a very subtle floral twist.

The fragrance starts directly with this perceived sea breeze. Something like salty sea air wafts around you. However, this impression is supported by a creamy scent. The fragrance has a certain sweetness that can definitely be derived from the vanilla. It already has something vanilla-like about it at this stage. I also get this slight hint of basil. Interesting and a really cool twist! Especially because this note is also subtle.

In my opinion, the fragrance becomes increasingly creamy as it progresses. This sea air is still there and lasts a relatively long time! I can also detect very subtle floral notes.
The vanilla note is now also noticeably more intense, but never too intense. The fragrance also definitely has a shower gel character.
But this is a really cool shower gel!
Nevertheless, the fragrance doesn't manage to completely captivate me. But that is always a question of personal taste.

I find the longevity really good. The fragrance lasts a good nine hours on my skin.
In terms of sillage, I had the feeling that it was a little heavier.
In other words, I have a different perception than some others who have already tested this fragrance.

All in all, however, you should test the fragrance and form your own opinion.
