Another Cologne scent...
I sprayed it on and wanted to see if it was anything special. Actually, I just wanted to write a statement, but since there is only one review of this so far, I think a second one might be helpful for some potential buyers...
Personally, I find it very similar to many other scents in this genre of Colonias, Intensas, and the like.
The citrus is okay, although it unfortunately comes across as partially(!) artificial, which always triggers this slight toilet duck theme for me.
There is citrus and citrus: some manage to create a good natural freshness with citron or grapefruit or seeds, while others have this unnatural citrus. Here it is not rock-hard synthetic, but still a bit, which I would actually wish to be a little different for scents in this price range.
Moreover, it is fresh and does have what it wants to be, namely the characteristics of a Cologne.
The sweetness is rather subtle, but it does persist in the scent, which retreats and dissipates more and more with each hour. I think that by the time of lunch on a hot day, one should have the flanker in the drawer of the desk if one wants to have any scent left in the afternoon.
I perceive a little (but only a little) of the pepper very lightly, the woodiness in the base is definitely there, the musk slightly fixes the freshness, but rather reserved.
The citrus becomes duller, sweet-rounder over time, and this sweetness reminds me a bit of sweet Italian (at least thematically appropriate) pastries.
If any of you are looking for a citrusy Cologne companion for the summer, there are countless options.
Close in this direction, but in my opinion simply better made, is Colonia Intensa Eau de Cologne. It has become more of a mass product by now and you will certainly encounter it more often than ArteOlfatto, but for me, it’s primarily about the scent and what I actually want: a fresh citrusy Eau de Cologne (yes, I know this is officially perfume, but it’s not that long-lasting). Therefore, I would be "out" here with Paropamiso.
