A little gourmand, a little smoky, perhaps a little animalistic
Clearly gourmand opening where caramel, slightly burnt, can be perceived, supported by dark sugar with its treacle tones and rice whose glutinous character is perceptible.
This overdose of sweetness is then balanced by the presence of some background floral notes and something green.
In the middle phase the sweetness is calmed down, to give the right space to a woody interlude, to the roasting of the coffee, and to the smoky/incense tones, due IMHO to the various types of oud used (as stated by the house) maybe a Chinese variety, Borneo, who knows exactly....
In the base phase, the sweetness reappears through a different interpreter, vanilla, supported by a pleasant cocktail of animal notes (you can feel the dirtiness they give, but distinguishing the individual parts would be somewhat complicated) and tobacco.
A multifaceted creation, which finally allowed me to get to know a brand I had been chasing for a while, and expectations were not disappointed.
