Scent of My Youth
Back at the turn of the millennium, when my first curious interest occasionally led me to the Yves Rocher in the shopping street, I became attached to this fragrance. A two-component scent that had to be shaken before spraying was more of a visual gimmick than a high-quality perfume, but it fit perfectly with the vibe of the time of hip-huggers, hip chains, crop tops, tattoo chokers, and transparent lip gloss.
Since the fragrance was within my pocket money budget and I had already loved citrus scents back then, I took a bottle home and cherished it. It smelled very sweet-citrusy-fruity with various citrus fruits that were not even named specifically. Nectarine and mango for sure, but the rest of the scent unfortunately remains as fleeting in my memory as the way the fragrance held on to my skin back then.
1-2 hours of fruity cloud like the scent of a shower gel while you're still in the shower lathering up, but then that was it. Longevity or even a complex sillage? That would probably be too much to expect from a fragrance that cost less than 10 DM back then.
Even though the fragrance in the bottle has long since turned and now just smells of musty alcohol, I still have the little bottle in my collection today, and it reminds me of old days in fruity citrus freshness and the feeling of summer days in my teenage years.
