This is a whisper of a fragrance - a delicate breath against the skin. Beautiful, but fleeting.

Souffle starts with an alcoholic citrus burst & then fades to a creamy, soft, feminine scent...the "ghost of tangerine peels past" hovers in the background...& then, aaaah, I find the soft, creamy ginger that I love in Omnia.

The tangerine peel, ginger & ylang-ylang are all dried & muted...so soft they are hardly there at all. No harsh jasmine only a fleeting glimpse of vanilla. It is like a second skin - very natural, not strong or sweet, just slightly sour, light & warm.

Oh, if only it was stronger, lasted longer - this beautiful fragrant apparition kisses my skin & then disappears into the ether.

The notes in this sound wonderful, so I was prepared to love it. But it turns out Souffle doesn't like me. You know how it smells when you peel a tangerine and let the peels sit for a few days so they are fully dried up and there is just a faint, pleasant citrus smell? That's what Neonatura Souffle' smells like on me - dried up tangerine peels that you have to put your nose on to smell. So sad. (122509)

The lady in the Yves Rocher store said, when I sprayed the scent on my wrist, something like: "It's nice because it's interesting, it starts off so fresh and lemony and then later becomes very warm and cozy."

So, I do find Neonatura Souffle beautiful. I smell mandarin and lemon, with a hint of ginger. Quite soon, vanilla joins in, along with a touch of ylang-ylang and tiaré. The flowers, however, really stay subtle in the background.
The base is somewhat ...dry, probably due to benzoin and very vanilla-like.

A quiet scent, to which I would have given a bit "louder" more than 70%, and less if I had paid full price (I ultimately did not buy it at Yves Rocher). It is not only very close to the skin, very, very close, but also very fleeting. I can probably use it as a body spray in the future, because a body lotion with this scent would be wonderful. Plus, this way I might finally finish something...

Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no body lotion available.

Short comment on the bottle: dreadful! It is supposed to remind one of nature (pebble stone?) in its organic form. It fits well in the hand, but the whole plastic and the rubber spray button are quite terrible...

But the scent is really beautiful! A rather unusual symbiosis of fresh and warm. The citrus top notes of bergamot, mandarin, and lemon provide a sparkling start that lasts for a while. Jasmine and ylang-ylang in the heart note add more floral character to the fragrance.
But the combination that is truly interesting and most noticeable for me is the one of ginger and tiaré, which leaves its mark on the scent and lingers for a long time. Never too sharp (ginger), never too cloying (tiaré).
The whole thing rests on a bed of amber and vanilla, which give the fragrance its warmth. Not winter warmth, rather the warmth of clean laundry.
A rather intimate and calm scent. Bright and light. "Souffle" fits quite well!

A truly fantastic fragrance, sunny and makes you happy. My husband loves it on me. Very very very sad: short longevity.
