Drowning in a sea of bright, white, thick and indolic white flowers
I'm thinking that maybe tuberose isn't my favorite flower, nor one I want to smell on me. The scent starts out quite strong with a mix of powdery, green, white, indolic flowers. It's thick and overwhelming to my nose. The accords clash and the smell reminded me of synthetic putty or something in the same vein. There's a facet of green and sweetness that comes out, probably due to the pear. It adds a fruity aspect to the perfume that is nice, but not enough to temper down the tuberose aspect. The green pear ends up blending in with the powderiness of the perfume. Ginger does make an appearance, but I felt like its spiciness clashed with the overall vibe of the tuberoses. It ends up turning warm on my skin like the tuberose being warmed by rays of sunshine. Floral indolic and fruity accords remain up until the end.

I don,t think this perfume is meant for me and I'm sad I couldn't smell the ginger tea. It does have nice longevity and sillage, but the powderiness and concentration of white flowers in it makes it a bit repulsive to my nose. It won't be an addition to my collection unfortunately.

Big Fat Juicy Tuberose
See the notes list? Ignore it. Ginger and tea? Non-existent. Green pear? There’s a vague hint now and then. This fragrance is all about that fresh, juicy, bubblegummy tuberose and nothing else.

It’s straightforward and very linear, reminding me of the OG Michael Eau de Parfum but brighter and fruitier. It’s not for me, I can understand why tuberose fans are all over it.

Projection is high (2 sprays max, I beg you) and longevity is strong at around 8-10 hours. Gendering scent is dumb, but these heavy, fruity florals are traditionally feminine coded.

My little (UNISEX) insider tip for those who take a different path...
Hello everyone,

today I would like to share something about French Flower and why we (my wife and I) like it so much, in just a few words!

French Flower is, broadly speaking, a fusion of Joyeuse Tubéreuse + Wūlóng Chá Extrait de Parfum, at least that’s how it seems to us, and we really enjoy it.

Why?

I’ll start differently; when I read 95% tuberose, I usually feel more distant than eager to test or own it. Because typically, tuberose is more white floral, creamy with a gum vibe + sweetness, and here it is completely different, like in Joyeuse Tubéreuse.

The scent is bright, soft, subtly floral, zesty, pleasant, very clean, and evokes a feeling of being freshly grown and/or showered all day long. In my opinion, it is perfectly UNISEX, and we have one or two reasons where it shares something with Wūlóng Chá Extrait de Parfum, which is the citrusy - slightly bitter but 0.0% annoying teen note and the performance. Nishane stands for POWER, even with fresh scents, and French Flower is no exception.

Our bottle from 2022 lasts over 12 hours!

If you find a leftover bottle or a sample here and see yourself reflected in the review, I can only recommend this wonderful scent to you!

And now, have a nice day/evening, or whenever you read this review, best regards, Benny

Homage to the Tuberose
Matiere Premiere consistently manages to reinterpret individual fragrance notes, like the tuberose here, in a completely new way. French Flower does not present the tuberose in its often showcased form - heavy, opulent - but instead allows it to appear playfully light, bright, and fresh.

The pear adds a fresh and light quality to the fragrance, while never forgetting the main character - the tuberose - which here truly conveys what it can also be: airy, clear, and a bit creamy. The green tea gives the fragrance a gentle, almost aquatic note that holds everything together and provides a clean tranquility.

French Flower is best worn in spring and summer, for bright days, white blouses, garden parties, and plenty of good cheer. For me, it is definitely a feminine fragrance and does not suit men, but

decide for yourself.

There is no tuberose I don't love... or so I thought until it tried French Flower. I sense harsh chemical notes in MP frags, can't stomach!

Drowning in a sea of tuberose: thick, white and indolic. Green pear, tea and ginger can't save this fragrance from being too much.

Pear and green tea embrace creamy tuberose for a floral-fruity unisex scent. Clean, airy, with a hint of synthetic sweetness.

Beautiful smooth, buttery, creamy tuberose. None of the harsh or screechy notes I have sometimes found in tuberose previously.

Tuberose a drama queen? This little angel? Nahh, she's all silken-smooth. First a tiny fruity touch, later a little grainy-woody in the base

Floral, fruity tuberose without appearing granny like. Fresh notes make the scent appear less heavy. Unisex wearable

The most flowery of flowers. Nothing but FLOWER. Like sticking your face in a bouquet of tuberose.

Almost unisex here slightly femme. A nice tuberose you could wear daily to any event. Can be a signature even for a man. Nice pear note.

A silky smooth and sweet tuberose forward fragrance. Reminds me of Narcotic V. Extrait de Parfum a bit.
